A Year Ago
Manik got up with the clunching of bangles today. He opened her eyes and then closed it again as it was too sunny. His room was usually dark unless he woke up. Scrunching his eyes opend his eyes again to see a female drying her hairs, her back facing him. She was gently using the towel to damp the hairs. She flipped her hairs to other shoulder and again started drying them
"Umm" he grunted as the female was moving unintentionally while drying her hairs, unintentionally playing with the sunlight. The female turned and Manik was mesmerized to see her
"Sorry main ne aapko utha diya kya?" he heard her soft voice and smiled
"Manik?" Her confused voice got him wake and he remembered the mesmerizing female was his newly wedded wife. He closed his eyes still smiling
She now walked to him and got on the bed and kneeled right in front of him
"Jaag rahe hai ki so rahe hai" she said clueless
"Jaag raha hu" Manik said in a groggy voice
"Aankhein band karke?" Nandini asked and leaned close.
Manik opened his eyes and saw her looking beautiful, she was wearing a beautiful salwar suit and her hairs were damp but her sindoor was there, he looked at her and saw the long mangalsutra dangling in her neck. She was too close to him
"Haan mera talent hai" he said and Nandini pouted
"Aap majak uda rahe hai mera" she said and he chuckled
"Aap..."
"Tum" he cut her saying anything. "Tum bolo" he said Nandini again made a face
"Tum bahut bure ho" she said and got down from the bed making him chuckle more.
"Bahut bure!" she yelled seeing him still laughing at her

Maink came down to see Mukti, Nandini and Neyonika giggling at something. He smiled. It was as if Nandini has always been the part of this family. He had never seen Vanshika being this close to Mukti or Neyonika ever. Infact, Mukti or Neyonika always had this distance with her.
The ladies saw Manik and stopped giggling. Instantly Manik knew he was their subject. He was been laughed upon. He frowned and asks "Maa aap kya bata rahi hai inn dono ko?" Neyonika instantly defended "Main... Kuch nahi... Main kya bautngi kisiko kuch..."
"Manik tum school fancy drees mein sabji wali bane the" Nandini said and giggled joining with Mukti and Neyonika. Manik flustered listening to her
"Mom!" he whined like a child and the trio laughed again
"No one laughs!" he tried to say it as an order but it came out as a whin again
"Jao main ne breakfast nahi karna" Manik said and was about to walk away when Neyonika stopped and promised him that no one will tease him but he has to do his breakfast.
