"Why did you tell Appa? And Amma? What Manik" Nandini took angry steps towards him
"Because it's their dream coming true" Manik said "And yours too. I remember Amma and Appa telling me how you always dream on going to London and work there for two years. How you wanted to get your special practice there. How you wanted this" Manik said
"I am not going to London" Nandini said turning away in anger
"But it's your dream!" Manik stressed
"Dreams change!" Nandini now yelled and then widen her eyes "Sorry I raised my voice" she said quickly
"You better check it. I am talking to you calmly" Manik sounded angry
"Manik dreams change" Nandini whispered
"Did your dream change or you are scared" Manik said and Nandini looked at him
"Nanidni" Manik took a step towards her and saw tears beam in her eyes
"Nandini" he said taking her in his arms and tears rolled dow her check
"Mujhe nahi jana tumhe chod kar" she finally said it
"Kyu?" he asked her
"Mujhe darr lagta hai ki main tumhe kho dungi" she told him looking at him with tearful eyes
"Tum mujhe kabhi kho nahi sakti" he said
"Tum nahi samjhoge" she shook her head "Six months hue hai humari shadi ko bas but hum toh abhi jaan rahe hai na ek dusre ko. What if we mis it. What if it break. Agar rishta majbut nahi bana toh zindagi kaise kategi" she said
"Zindagi saath kategi kyuki rishta majbut hai" he said cupping her face. Nandini hugged him
"Mujhe nahi jana tumhe chod ke" she said tightening the hug
"Kyu nahi jana?" he asked but she did not answer
Manik took her out of the hug and cupped her face again "I know I am stupid. That gay thing, it still makes you insecure. It makes you think ki yeh rishta nahi tikega. But Nandini" Manik tugged her face closer and said "Jitna main apni Nandini ko janta hu na woh ekdum straightforward hai, usse apni feelings ki khichdi bana na pasand nahi. She is clear what she wants, what she doesn't. Yeh problem toh Manik ki hai. Manik inscure hai. Manik apni feelings sort nahi kar pata. Manik complicate hai. Manik stupid hai" Manik said
"Aye mere Manik ko yeh sab mat bolo" she said palming his mouth and he kissed her fingers. She looked at him wide eyes.
"Tum toh toh simple ho na" Manik removed her palm from his mouth. "Toh ab problem Manik ki hai aur Nandini uss ke liye compromise nahi karegi. Manik khud ko sudharega, samjhi?" Manik said and she kept looking at him
"Agar Manik ka sapna hota toh kya Nandini usse pura karti ya usse rok leti?" Manik asked him and she looked away knowing she would not have stopped him.
"Toh Manik kyu nahi kar sakta same chiz?" Manik asked her creasing her cheek with his thumb
"Par mujhe tumhare saath rehna hai" she said
"Aaj. Kal. May be aage ke pach saal you will think this was right but then uss ke baad when we we will have a stable life tab? Main nahi chata ki mere saath rehne ka decision tum kabhi, bhi ek second ke liye regret karo." he said and she got tearful again "Hum divorce nahi le rahe Jaan it's just long distance. Aur main aaunga na aap se milne. Tum bhi aaogi when you get chutti" he said
"And what if long distance doesn't works?" Nandini asked
"Toh vapas aa jao. Main toh humesha yahi hu, tumhara intezaar karte hue. Par bina gas ke khana pakta hai ky?" Manik asked and she nodded no "Toh bina London jaye, how will you know, if you wanted that. Hmm?" Manik asked
