Nandini stood there clad in her beautiful bridal lengha and accessories. She was confused and standing and looking at the room curious. Blues, Greys, white, and browns. She looked around. The bedroom was biger then her half house. This bedroom had a meeting are, like a small living room, then there was a partition and then the actual bedroom, attached to it was a terrace which was more bigger and had a swimming pool.
'Humara toh ghar itna bada hai' she said and pouted 'Iss ne mujhe se shadi ke liye haan kyu kaha' she looked around. Her eyes fell on the big portrait of him 'Hmmmm' she said 'Shakal se toh akdu hi dikh raha hai. Ek baar mujhe dekha, aaj tak baat toh kabhi ki nahi. Haan kyu kahi tumne Manik Malhotra?' she thought. She heard the door open and turned to it. She saw his shadow through the partition and then he appeared from behind it. He was wearing matching sherwani to her lengha
He looked at her, she looked at him. He kept looking at her and then left to the closet. She stood there looking at him walk away and then enter another door 'Aur bhi kuch hai iss room mein' she thought and then looked around. Making her mind she sat on the bed. She felt a bit relaxed. Huh why are weddings so tiring. She drummed her fingers on the bed waiting for him, not knowing what to do. After sometime she heard the door open again and he walked out. Nandini saw he had changed in casuals. His hairs were a mess. He looked at her head to toe.
"Change karna hai ki aise hi rehna hai?" he asked her and she looked at him
"Kaha karu change?" she asked him
"Sar pe karo mere, stupid" he said rudely "Waha that's the closet and the changing space" he said pointing the door he had went to and came back from.
"Mujhe kaise pata hoga" she said softly. She started to go to the door but while passing him she stepped on her lengha and triped, instinctively she held on to him but she was falling, to not to fall with her he held on to her and she held on to him tightly with the fear of falling. She looked at him. He looked at her with anger and made her stand
"Aise tricks mere saath mat khelo. Tum jaisi 100 ladkiyaan girti hai mujh par roz" he said rudely
"Sorry, I tripped" she said softly after checking her lengha and he looked at her stunned she had just ignored what she said "Sorry I touched you without your concern" she said and he looked in her eyes. She really was sorry.
"Tumne suna nahi main ne kya kaha" he said and she looked confused "Main ne jo baat ki woh..." she nodded no
"Sorry. Woh yeh lengha mehnga hai, mujhe pata nahi... Sorry main ne tum...aap ki baat nahi suni" she said still checking her lengha and Manik looked at her shocked
"Sorry I touched you" she said and he nodded not knowing what to say. He was going to turn away when he heard "Manik" he stopped. That made his heart miss a beat. But he ignored it and turned to her.
"Ek baat puchni thi" she said and he nodded "Tu... Aap ne mujhse shadi ke liye haan kyu kaha?"
"Kyu tumhe nahi karni thi kya shadi?" he asked rolling his eyes and he looked shocked seein her look caught "Tumhe nahi karni thi shadi?" he asked taking a step towards her
"Woh, woh vaise nahi. I... Mujhe tu... aap... aap pasand aaye" she said and Manik smirked. Of course he was rich, handsome and eligible in every ways she was going to say yes. He had seen her house. Manik was her golden hen. Not gloden diamond hen. Why would she say no to him?
"Aap ne haan kyu kahi?" she asked again
"Kyu ki mere paas option nahi tha" Manik said rudely and she looked at him. Why was he being rude. Did she do something wrong?
"Matlab?" she asked him to get clearity
"Dekho yeh sab natak na, yeh mere saath mat karo. Innocent and simple hone ka" he said "Mujhe koi shoak hai tumhe apni wife bana ke ghumane ka" he said and she looked at him stunned
