Why did she had to take bus? She could have just taken a rick. But then there was traffic, and it would have cost more. She can afford it but her cheap, bachat friendly mind won't let it happen. I mean rick was fine. She could afford it but then she was not tired and she wanted to walk. But then she regretted it as soon as she saw the person infront of her. She wished she was not recognised but then the person saw her and then smiled. The 'Oh My God it's you' smile
"Nandini" she heard her yell her name and smiled. Nandini smiled back, did she want to, no, but it came to her automatically, she was meeting an old friend. They talked, no. She was annoying, definitely. Was she one of that person who was a took advantage of friendship but couldn't give anything from her end and and then blamed of how Nandini was not taking effort to keep up the friendship, yes. Nandini didn't like her, no, Nandini loathe her. But once she was a great friend, annoying but great. She should have not taken this road. She hugged her and broke the hug quickly. This better be quick, Nandini thought
"What's up Nandini?" she asked
"Good Bani. How's you?" Nandini said
"You here?" Bani asked
"Haan woh I was visiting Akka..." Nandini said
"Oh haan marriage" Bani said. Nandini wanted to roll her eyes, ofcourse everyone already knew.
"Yes. You will be coming right?" Nandini asked her
"If we get an invitation" Bani said rolling her eyes and shrugged
"I guess you will be, you should be" Nandini could love some wedding drama, she smirked mentally
"Let's see" Bani said tight lip. Nandini knew even she was not liking this, but Nandini was not anyone now, she was Nandini Murty, she was one of her pretty good earning friend.
"Ahh good you are here. We are meeting tomorrow right?" Bani asked
Fuck! The reunion at her place, how did it slipped Nandini's mind. She should have take a rick or atleast not taken this road, where chances of bumping into Bani was more.
"Yeah, yes, I'll be there" Nandini said plastering a big smile. "I mean I will come for bit. You know, weeding preps. I hope you understand" Nandini added. She need to escape this.
"Yes ofcourse, but please come" Bani said genuinely. Nandini felt like a bitch but why not, she was done with people like Bani, friends who take you for granted, want to be there because you are working with famous people or good company and earn great. Nandini gave her a smile and bid her bye. She walked away from Bani calling 'Vanshika'
"Baby, you are free?" Nandini asked as soon as she heard the phone being answered
"In train, going back home" Vanshika said. Nandini heard the disturbance of air from Vanshika's side
"Baby..." Nandini whined
"Kya hua?" Vanshika said listening to her tone
"Main ne ghadde mein kudi mari yaar" Nandini said walking to her Akka's building "Met Bani" Nandini continued
"What? Where? Why?" Vanshika asked suprised
"I am came to Akka's place na, came accross her" Nandini told her
"Now I have to go tomorrow" Nandini cried "Please tu bhi aa na..."
"No" Vanshika said
"Please, please, I am your baby na" Nandini acted cute
"You are my baby" she heard Vanshika. Yes, she was thinking about it.
"And you would have not bailed if it was me" Vanshika added. Yes, she was getting convinced. Nandini did a happy dance.
