"Do it."

You pull the trigger, watching the man fall to the ground. If you weren't so scared of Yoongi, you might have protested. You wonder if there's a life out there where you can stop all this. All this madness. This cycle of violence.

"The next one won't be so quick," Mr. Min says, handing the pipe to you. You holster your pistol, taking the pipe in its place while the gagged man cries, his words muffled by the cloth in his mouth, but due to the privacy of the location, Yoongi takes the gag out after a moment.

The man gives Yoongi a death glare. "They'll fucking kill you for this! I'm one of the most respected members of the Jeon family!"

"The Jeon family has been hunting my dearest spy for a long time now, I think we can handle ourselves," Mr. Min says, motioning to you.

The kneeling man trembles as you approach. You do your best to mask your expression despite your mind screaming at you to stop. Granted, this man had killed countless, but killing one didn't stop death. It merely created a new killer.

"Here's the new set you ordered, sir," one of the guards says, handing a sharp blade to Yoongi. He chuckles, taking it and walking over to the kneeling man. The man's hands are restrained in front of him, so Yoongi will have to cut right under the rope.

"I'll hold him down," you say, kneeling behind the man and grabbing his shoulders.

He instantly gets to work, and your ears ring as it happens. Your eyes feel out of focus, and by the time it's over, you don't know what happened. You do, but you don't. Your brain lets that part remain foggy, and your eyes refuse to look.

"Don't bother with a tourniquet. We'll be done here soon," Yoongi says to the two guards behind him.

Before anyone can move any further, a door breaking down makes everyone jump, and it's the sound you needed to snap yourself back into focus. Yoongi gives you a look, and you nod. The two of you stand, and Yoongi ends the man's life in a heartbeat.

"Run, Y/n!" Yoongi shouts.

"What? What about you?"

"I don't care, just run and get to safety! Get to Jimin!"

The fact that he said Jimin's name astonishes you, but you don't bother waiting. You rush away, sprinting down the familiar pathways and getting to the backdoor rather quickly. You kick it down, pulling your knife free and predicting the two men that are waiting for you.

They charge, and it's a bloody battle that ends with you beaten up and your fists in agony from all the punches you threw. You gag and dry heave from the exertion, but with a shaky grasp, you grip one of the now-dead man's hands, listening to the gunshots in the background as you do so.

There's a ring on the hand, and it has a J on it. On the back is another: H. That was why you inspected them; if they were more than mere assassins, they would have rings, and Y/n was right. They were associates with Mr. Jung's mafia, but that meant Mr. Jung was in league with Mr. Jeon.

You drop the ring, shaking rapidly as you place your hands on your head. No, this can't be happening. You have soldiers from not one but two factions coming after you? Because of that, Jimin's in danger. What if he's in danger right now? If they found this warehouse, they could easily find the penthouse.

Without a second thought, you stand, rushing away while grabbing your phone and dialing his number. He doesn't pick up.

"Come on, come on," you mutter as you sprint through down the dirt path, getting to the main road. The warehouse is the only thing for miles, so you'll be running a while. It rings again: still nothing. "God dammit, come on, Jimin!" you yell, calling one last time.

After three rings, it picks up. "Disturbing me in the middle of jerking off? Come on, babe-"

"Where are you?" you interrupt.

"Penthouse, why? Everything okay?"

"Lock the doors, lock the windows, get to the safe room and bring a weapon now!"

"What's going on?"

"Dammit, Jimin, please!"

"Okay, hang on."

You keep running, your adrenaline too high for you to care. To your surprise, there's a scrapyard up ahead, probably locked down due to the night time, but if you can find an even halfway working car, you can drive it into the city and run from there.

"Jimin? Status?" There's silence. "Jimin?" Then, a loud bang is heard, you yelping at the sound even though you're not in the same room.

"I have to call you back," he whispers.

"What? Jimin what-"

"I'm sorry, please stay safe. Don't come home until I call you."

"Jimin?"

She can hear his shaky breaths from the other side of the line.

"Someone's here. Someone's in the penthouse..."
