"How are you feeling?" Lexa asked, as she stood in the doorway to Elena's bedroom. The twins had just gotten back from the Salvatore house after Alexia picked up a barbecued Elena.
"I'm okay, like I said to the first ten times that you asked me, Lex." Elena replied, with an amused smile, as Salem laid beside the girl, wanting to keep her company. It was as though the cat could sense Lexa's worry for Elena, and wanted to watch over her.
Lexa shrugged, "I mean you could have been burnt to death, I am worried." She huffed, "You know I could heal you—"
"I don't want your blood, but thank you." Elena insisted. "Why are you so worried?" She then asked, feeling like her sister was acting a little more worried than she usually would be.
The heretic took a seat on the edge of Elena's bed, before she turned to face her twin. "So much has happened recently I mean... I died." She began, as Elena was looking concerned for where this may go. "Jenna, Sienna, Natasha and Carmen all died... Stefan is being controlled by a psycho Mikealson and we are dealing with these villains who are so much stronger than we are and absolutely anything could happen..."
"Lexa, where are you going with this?" Elena nervously asked, "Because it seems pretty dark."
"Life is so precious and it is so short, Lena. And we need to cherish every moment..." Lexa began. "I want to spend all the time I can with the ones I love." She insisted, thinking of Elena, Jeremy, Bonnie, Stefan, Sienna, Natasha and her coven... but most importantly Caroline.
Lexa Gilbert wanted to spend the rest of her life with Caroline Forbes, and it was an epiphany she'd had of recent.
"Well Lexa, I'm not going anywhere, so there's no need to get all sappy." Elena giggled teasingly, causing Lexa to roll her eyes playfully.
"And... so much has been happening lately and the only person I want to talk about it with is Caroline." Lexa added being open about her feelings on the Forbes, "I um... I'm in love with her, Elena... But our timing just never seems to be right—"
Elena gave her twin a smile, "You and Caroline are weirdly perfect for eachother." She insisted. "Why don't you go see Caroline tonight, and finally tell her how you feel?" The doppelgänger then asked.
Lexa shrugged, "Because, I'm gonna stay and take care of you, obviously." She said, giving the other brunette a playful look.
Elena shook her head, "Go and see your girl. I'm sure she has just as much to tell you, as you want to tell her." The girl admitted. "But—"
