The escorts, the mayor and a crowd of people waited downstairs for the girls. Mayor Lockwood held a microphone, preparing to call out the girls and their escorts. "Miss Tina Fell, escorted by Bartholomew Whitmore." Tina goes down the stairs, all eyes on her as she smiles.
Upstairs Allira, Caroline, Sienna and Elena were waiting for their names to be called out. "Has anyone seen Amber?" Caroline asked, as the girl was nowhere to be seen. Elena, who looking if she sees Stefan downstairs then asks, "Do you see Stefan down there?"
Caroline looked down from above the balcony, "Nope, just my boring fill in escort." She groaned. Sienna looked to Caroline, "What happened to Matt?" She asked. "They wouldn't let him out of work." Caroline groaned before turning to Elena, "Wait, what happened to Stefan?"
Before Elena could answer, Carol's voice called out, "Miss Allira Lockwood and her escort, Mister Jeremy Gilbert." With that, Allira shared a nervous smile with Sienna, before she descended the stairs.
Elena shrugged, "I don't know, he just disappeared somewhere, I don't know." She finally confessed before sighing. "What am I doing? I never should have gone through with this."
Caroline and Sienna gave Elena a confused look, "What do you mean?" Sienna asked. Elena shook her head, "I need to find Stefan, this isn't me, I'm not this person anymore." She insisted.
Caroline shook her head, before she placed her hands on Elena's shoulders. "No, no, no way, no. You had your chance to drop out and believe me I was all for it because there is no way that I could beat you. Elena, you're doing this because it was important to your mom." She insisted.
Suddenly, Mayor Lockwood's voice was heard again. "Miss Caroline Forbes and her escort Mister Jeffrey Lockwood-Hamilton." Caroline flashed Elena and Sienna a smile before she walked over to the staircase. "Break a leg, Forbes." Sienna said before Caroline was out of ears reach.

Elena nervously looked downstairs from the balcony, nervously as she still couldn't see Stefan. Lexa came into view, giving her twin an encouraging smile and wave. Elena smiled back weakly.
"Miss Elena Gilbert, escorted by Mister Stefan Salvatore." Mrs Lockwood called out, as Elena felt a pit in her stomach as she walked over to the stairs. "Are you okay, Gilbert?" Sienna asked the girl, as she seemed off. "Never been better." Elena replied before she began walking down the stairs.
Damon looked for Stefan, not seeing him. Elena walked down the stairs and looked for Stefan but she didn't see him. Damon quickly walked forward, deciding to take Stefan's place and escort Elena. She smiled before they linked arms.
