(EJ POV)
"So are you and Tess officially back together?" I asked swinging my legs from the high tree branch.
"Yeah, it's great to be back. I really missed her." He smiled leaning against the trunk and casually swinging his legs.
"It was kind of a dumb move with you leaving like that. You should have seen her the other day when she went out looking for you that night in the woods. She was in tears the whole time you were gone." I told him. The smile on his face vanished and he looked down twiddling his thumbs.
"Yeah I know. I hope she knows how sorry I am. I feel horrible."
"I'm sure she forgives you." I gave him a grin and kicked him hard in the shin.
"What was that for?" He laughed grabbing his shin.
"We can self heal. And that's not as bad as what I'm about to do." I shoved him and he fell off the high branch landing with a thud on the ground. He grunted and flipped me off. I started laughing and climbed down next to him.
"I hate you." He muttered. Ben and Anna walked by holding hands.
"Wait you two are dating?" I asked.
