Chapter 27: I love you more than life and death itself

JOSHS POV
WHOO-WHIPPP-WHOOOO-WHIPPPP............ It has been 4 minutes, and I need to breathe... No, it's for Chloe... WHOOOO-WHIPPPPP WHO.... "Hey what was that for?!"

PAIGES POV
Ugh, where were they?! What I thought was gonna happen was an angry Maddie would storm back in with crossed arms and Josh would walk in with Chloe on his arm and they'ed stare into each other's eyes because Josh had just given Chloe some sappy love story that explained everything and everyone lifts Paige up because she's a genius... Sorry! That expectation belongs in PAIGES FANTASY LAND... Anyways, I'm looking at Kendall right now and she has no clue, Nia just shrugged and Brooke mouthed "Should we go" I looked back at the other two and they obvi saw her because they were both nodding. That girl with that curly brown hair and Aqua blue eyes... I think her name was Maci? She called from across the room "Anything I can do to help?" And I nodded. I saw what Maddie was doing. She was gonna strike on Josh, right now! So, me and my militia are gonna strike too, and by that I mean show Cosh all the evidence to prove what Maddie did once and for all! "Yes, Macy! Thanks for the offer, go into my dance bag, and get me that green and purple polka dot note pad!" "Please!" I added after Brooke elbowed me in the ribs. She slowly walked up to me and was like "I can't believe I'm this close to you!" I smiled as she handed it to me and I pulled out my phone an took a selfie with her. She was beaming from ear to ear, job well done Paigey. Me, my sis, Nia and Kendall walked out only to see something that almost made me wet my pants

BROOKES POV
Well here we are, just a regular Saturday afternoon for the dance kids. Josh is crying, Maddie's crying, Nias crying, Kendalls crying, And I don't know where Mackenzie is in all of this, and I'm trying to revive a passed out Paigey... Yeah, she went down 18 seconds ago when she saw her best friend... In the... Physical state... That she is. Oh Chloe, yup I'm crying now too. Paige awoke and immediately pushed Maddie out of the way. "Sorry Mads!" She said, before Paige went down we had all just learned that Maddie was not the evil villain we all thought she was and to prove it she threw her notepad into the pond. And then she explained everything. Maddie was back!!!!! I've really missed her, but when she was ruining Chloe's life, it was hard to imagine her ever being good again, I had lost all hope and then my sadness turned to anger towards her, but now everything's right with my world again! ... Oh right! Yeah, except one thing... My BFF is not breathing! "Chloe, I love you we all do. Don't go!" I pleaded, putting my head down on my hands on the grass. We all heard a huge gasp of air as Josh let go of Chloe's mouth. Maddie had pulled him up by the hair. "Hey! What was that for?" He wheezed, way way way out of breath. "Josh... I looked on my phone. A person, only if their lungs aren't already filled, should start breathing after about 5 minutes of mouth to mouth... You've been here giving up practically all your breath for nearly 30 minutes..." Maddie said

A hush of silence fell over the group

"Are you saying..." Josh said slowly, looking back at Chloe's face. "I don't wanna say it..." Maddie said, breaking into full on sobs and fell into my lap. "IM SO... SO... *sniffle... SO... *sniffle... SOOOORRRRYYYY!!!!!!!!!!" Nia burst out crying into her hands and Kendall started running back well crying. I grabbed her hand and pulled her back next to me and she put her head on my shoulder, tears rolling down her face and onto my skin. Maddie in my lap was vibrating and kept apologizing. And I know I needed to stay strong for her... But, it's... But it's Chloe... She's g... Gon... A single tear which turned into a million finally came.

PAIGES POV
No... No, no, this cannot be happening... She was here... And now she's... No, no, Chloe's still in there... I just, I just know it... No, I refuse to believe it... Ok Comeon Chloe, just open your eyes and show us all your smile... A few tears came but I wiped them away, she wasent gone... Josh put his head into her chest for one final check... He sat there for a minute. And when he sat up his face was paler than hers, and he bit his lip. "What is it Joshy?!?! JOSH, TELL ME!!!" I shouted shaking him. He pulled away... And looked to the ground and shook his head... No... C... Chl... "CHLOEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed louder than ever before. My best friend was dead. "NO! SHES MY BEST FRIEND!!!" I said looking down at her face well everyone else cried. "GOD WHY?!?!?! WHAT DID SHE DO TO DESERVE THIS?!?! CHLOE!!!!!!!!!! COME BACKKKKKKK!!!!!" I yelled throwing myself on her. Josh tried to pick me up off of her and bring me over to him but I grabbed onto her. "NO NO NOOO..."my sentences kept breaking off in tears. "Paigey come here..." Josh said "NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Josh, give me one damn minute!" I shouted, I had never sworn before. I turned to look at her so I was sitting on her right and she was on my left and I grasped her ice cold and chalky hand. "Chloe, I love you. You were there for me every step of the way. I wouldn't have been able to get to where I am now without you in my life. And now your gone... More silence. "Chloe, your a light shining on the world. And I know somewhere up there your gonna make the perfect angel. You always said you wanted to wear the halo... But your kindness and positiveness made your own halo of goodness. Chloe, you were and will always be my very best friend, I shall never forget our moments together, and there's a lot. Everything ever given to me by you, I will cherish. Anything we ever did together, I will never do with anyone again. And most of all, I promise at your funeral, to give you the biggest rose. And I will stay at your grave all night, rain or snow. That's how much you mean to me. I hope when you get to heaven, the big guy lets you be my guardian angel. Because we both know you know more about me than anyone else, even my sis and bro... Speaking of my bro... It kills me that I never saw Cosh as one again. But I guess I did. When you did that dance only about 45 minutes ago. And Chloe... This kills me even more..." My sentence breaking off into sobs. "Maddie... She apologized! She said she loved you! Chloe, she was just jealous of the girl you were. She's your best friend! I wish you could have lived to see that..." My sentence breaking off. "But lastly, ms. Lukasiak, Maddie is your best friend... But your my other half, my Twinnie and I'm yours, and no matter where you go, no matter how far we are apart, I shall think of you every day and never forget my true twin at heart. I love you!..." I said, sobbing and collapsing into Josh's embrace. "I love you..." I said again. Josh sat me down next to Nia and we hugged between tear cycles. Josh pulled up his legs, wrapped his arms around them and sat looking up to the sky. " I've always been taught that God does things for a reason. Now this, this defies my logic. What did you, my beautiful Chloe, ever do to deserve... Death. If I was alone, I'd kill myself too and die happily next to you, because I love you with every inch of my unfortunately still beating heart. There's honestly no point in living anymore. Nothing makes sense anymore, Everything's a blur. Chloe, you mean heaven and hell to me. Chloe, you make my heart skip twenty beats. Chloe, your a shining light everywhere you go. Chloe, you make my world go round. And Chloe, I love you more than life and death itself. You never got to see what Maddie had done, and when she explained her plan step step too me, I kinda got why you were so upset I know I looked bad. But I loved you through all of that. I never stopped loving you. I never got to tell you that I loved you still, and I will never stop loving you, till the end of all time. Chloe Elizabeth Lukasiak... R.I.P... Until we meet again..." Josh said picking up both her hands. I could not believe how strong he was being. BROOKES supposed to be our leader, but Josh is being strong for us. And I stood up and sat down right next to him and said something I just understood. "Thank you Josh. Even though, my BFF and brother dating was a bit weird at first..." My sentence breaking off into more tears "Thank you soooooo very much for taking care of her!" I said patting his back. Then he looked at me and hugged me close. With a single tear rolling down his cheek. There's the Josh that I know.

JOSHS POV
But I didn't take good enough care of her... My Chloe, my passion, my love, my life, is gone. I wasent really crying because I was just blank. I was stuck between wanting not to believe this or trying not to believe this. But in the middle of Paige and I's hug, I heard a soft voice say "Life goes on" I answered that voice and said "How can life go on without Chloe?" But I realized it wasent just the voice in my head, when it responded back... "I would not be too worried about that..." I let go Of Paige... I'd recognize that voice anywhere... I looked down at the body, expecting to see a pale bleeding dead girl, but I was hit by those OPEN big beautiful brown eyes!!!!! "Chloe? Am I hallucinating?" "Nope. I guess it just took a while for that mouth to mouth to kick in." Chloe smiled. I could not believe this! I grabbed her and threw her into the air and caught her. We skipped and ballroom danced all around that pond. And we sat down right where I thought she was dead. "Chloe! Your alive!" I cheered wrapping her in my arms. She started tickling me and then I started tickling her, which then turned into rolling all around until we were both sitting up and looking right at each other. "So did you hear any of what I said too you?" I said scooting a bit closer, and forgetting that all the other girls were watching us. "I heard all of what you said but only the end of Paiges, dude, would I have let you dance and have fun with me a second ago if I didn't know?" She flashed that perfect smile. She scooted a bit closer in. "Well then, do you believe in true loves kiss, my princess?" I asked scooting in even closer. "Only if your my knight in shining armor..." She said, scooting and beating me to what I Was gonna do... We kissed and kissed and kissed. "Cosh" was back, and "Cosh" would last through life and death itself.
