Venus’s P.O.V It was finally Graduation and I was sitting next to Jasper along with the other graduating students as we all listened to Jessica say her speech, “when we were Five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up, our answers were things like, Astronaut, President, or in my case A princess” she said and everyone laughed a little before she continued, “when we were Ten they asked again we answered Rockstar, Cowboy, or in my case a Gold Medalist. But now that we’ve grown up they want a serious answer, well how about this, who the Hell knows.” she said and we all cheered at that before she had continued on with her speech, “this isn’t the time to make hard and fast decisions, this is the time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere, fall in love, a lot, Major in Philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind and change it again because nothing is permanent, so make as many mistakes as you ca, that way someday when they ask what we want to be we won’t have to guess, we’ll know” she said finishing her speech and everyone in the room clapped before everyone soon began to calm down before someone had begun to call out everyone’s name and when my name was finally called, I had walked up to the stage and shook the man's hand as I looked over to see mike and the others whistling and I laughed a little before seeing Carlisle and Esme and I smiled towards them before heading off the stage and going back to my seat as more names were being called.
By the time Graduation was over, everyone began to leave the Gym and head outside and I began to wish that my mom was here to see this and I was brought out of my thoughts when Esme had hugged me, “we’re so proud of you and I know your mother would be to” she said and I smiled as she moved away from the hug, “thanks Esme and I know she would be to, I just wish she was here to see this” I said before she hugged me again, “you’ll see her again soon, we’ll make sure of it. I promise” she said to me and I felt a tear slip down my cheek, “thank you” I said to her, “you’re apart of this family now, and this is what we do for our family” she said and it was making me feel like they were my second family and we soon headed back to their place to set up everything for the party later.

Later that night, people started filling the house as the music played in the background and the lights changed color and Jessica, Angela and I had noticed Bella walk in and we rushed up to her, “you made it” Angela said as she hugged her and Jessica did the same, what did you think of my speech, to easy breezy, to self helpful, you hated it?” she asked Bella, “no, you nailed it” Bella told her, “yeah, it was like I was born to lead right” Jessica said before Angla dragged her back to the dance floor, “how are you doing?” Bella asked me, “nothing much has changed really, still worried, scared out of my mind and what not” I told her as we walked until we noticed Jacob walk in with Embry and Quill, “what is he doing here. I thought the punch in the face was a hint of sorts” I said and she shrugged, “it was kind of my way of uninviting him from coming here” she said and I nodded, “right” I said as the three of them walked up to us, “and yet they don’t complain about you guys being on their territory” I said to them with a sarcastic smile on my face, “let me guess, Edward told you what happened, “yup” I told him as I continued to smile, “great” he whispered, “what are you doing here?” Bella asked him, “you invited me remember” he said to her, “I heard it was the other way around when a certain punch happened” I mentioned and he just sighed, “she’s not wrong though, was my right hook too subtle for you. That was me uninviting you” she said to him, “look Bella I’m sorry, about you know, the kiss and your hand. I blame it on the whole inner animal thing when it was really just, me being and ass” he said to her as he apologized, “yeah and you’re lucky it was just a sprain” I mentioned to him but he ignored me, “I’ll see you later” I said to Bella before I walked away so that they could finished their conversation.
After a while of looking around, I finally found Jasper and I smiled a little as I kissed him, “are you feeling any better at all?” he asked me and I sighed, “not really to be honest” I told him and after a while of talking, Carlisle had walked up to the both of us, “we need to talk, the others are in another room” he said and we looked at each other before following him into another room to see the others there except for Rose, Emmett and Esme, “what’s going on?” I asked, “Alice had a vision,” Carlisle said, “the army is coming here. They’ll be here in Four days” Alice said and I began to worry, “this could turn into a bloodbath” Carlisle said as he leaned against a table, “who’s behind it?” Edward asked Alice, "didn’t see anyone I recognized, maybe two. One of them being Venus’s mother, someone turned her” Alice said and I froze, “and I know his face, he’s local. Riley Beers, He didn’t start this” Edward said as my grip on Jasper’s hand had gotten tighter, “who ever it is, is staying out of the action” Alice said, “they must be playing with the blind spots in your visions” Carlisle mentioned, “either way, the army’s coming and there aren’t enough of us to protect the town” Jasper said to everyone, “hold up. What damn army?” Jacob asked, “Newborn, our kind.” Carlisle told him, “what are they after?” Embry asked, “they were passing around Bella and Venus’s scents Bella’s red blouse and Venus’s sweater” Alice answered as I remembered that my hoodie had gone missing the night all of this started, “they’re after Bella and Venus. What the hell does this mean?” Jacob said mainly to Carlisle, “it means an ugly fight, with lives lost” he said to Jacob as he looked over to Quill and Embry, “alright, we’re in.” Jacob said before Bella began to protest against it, “no, you’ll get yourselves killed. No way” she said to him, “I wasn’t asking for permission” Jacob told her and they both argued about it for a bit before she tried to reason with Edward, “Jacob, do believe Sam would agree to, an understanding”Carlisle said as if he was asking, “as long as we get to kill some Vampires” Jacob said before looking in our direction, “they’ll give us the numbers, the Newborns won’t even know they exist. That’ll give us an edge” Jasper said and noticed him looking down at me and I leaned my head against his shoulder, “we’ll need to coordinate.”Carlisle said, “Carlisle, they’re gonna get hurt” Bella said to him, “well all need some training. Fighting Newborns requires knowledge that Jasper has. You’re welcome to join us” Carlisle said, “alright. name the time and place” Jacob said to Carlisle, “Jake, you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into” Bella told him but I thought otherwise, “I think they do, otherwise he wouldn't had offered to do so in the first place if neither of them hadn’t” I mentioned to her, “she’s right Bella, besides this is what we do. You should be happy. Look at us, working together. You are the one who wanted us to get along, remember” Jacob told her and she stood there in silence until we all left the room.
Later that night after the party was over and everyone had gotten changed, I was sitting outside thinking about what Alice had said about my mom becoming a Vampire until I had felt someone sit down beside me and I turned to see that it was Alice, “I’m sorry about what you had to hear about your mother” she said to me, “it’s alright, it’s not your fault” I said to her as I faced her, “it feels like it is though and I feel guilty about it” she said and I hugged her and felt her hug back, “it’s not your fault Alice, it will never be your fault. It’s whoever is doing this, it is their fault” I told her as I moved away from the hug and she smiled a little, “thanks” she said and I nodded, “you know, I’m glad that you ended up with Jasper, whether this was bound to happen or not. I’m glad to see him finally happy” she said and I smiled at what she said, “I’m happy to be with him” I said and she chuckled a bit before the both of us had gone inside for the night and just hung out with one another along with Rose as we talked about everything before having to gather in the other room to talk about what Alice had seen and what to do about it as the talked with Alice and Rose had helped me get my mind off of everything that’s going on around me as the three of us had a few laughs here and there until I had begun to feel tired and finally headed up to Jasper’s room and laid down on the bed before Jasper soon walked into the room and laid down next to me, “did you at least have fun before what happened?” he asked me and I nodded too tired to talk, “good, now get some rest, we got a lot to do during the next Four days” he said and I soon drifted off to sleep not long after.
