Chapter Twenty Five

Venus’s P.O.V
It was now the next day and we had all gone to a clearing big enough to practice in and I stood with the others as both Emmett and Jasper spared with one another until we all heard a car drive up and soon see both Bella and Edward get out until we noticed the Wolves walk up, “they don’t trust us enough to be in their human forms” Edward said to Carlisle, “they came, that’s what matters. Will you translate” Carlisle said before walking toward the wolves, “welcome. Jasper has experience with Newborns, teach us how to defeat them.” Carlisle told them, “they want to know how the Newborns are different from us” Edward said to Carlisle, “they’re a great deal stronger than us because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first several months of this life” Carlisle explained before letting Jasper speak up, “Carlisle’s right, that’s why they are created. A Newborn army doesn’t need thousands like a human army, but no Human army can stand against them. Now the Two most important things are first, never let them get their arms around you they’ll crush you instantly and Second, never go for the obvious kill, they’ll be expecting that and you will lose. Emmett” he said to the Wolves before calling on Emmett and I just watched Jasper the entire time as I stood next to Rose, “this should be interesting” I said to her and we both chuckled and soon enough, Jasper knocked Emmett on his ass, “well that ended quicker than I thought” I said and Jasper smirked before giving me a quick kiss as they continued to pair each other off and when it was Marcus and Alice’s turn to spare one another, I thought it to be cute the entire time they spared.

By the time practice was over, I walked beside Jasper and kissed his cheek, “I that you were sexy the entire practice” I said to him and he smirked and I giggled before catching up with Alice and Rose and the three of us talked for a bit before I noticed Jasper talking with Bella and I walked up beside him as he was telling Bella his story and about how I came along, “you’ve kept me waiting long enough” I said jokingly and he chuckled, “my apologies Ma’am. I don’t know what I’d become without her” he said looking at me, “shhhh, you never have to do that again” I told him before I kissed him passionately for a minute or so before breaking away from the kiss and smiled a little before we walked away and I jumped on his back before he ran off back to the house for the rest of the day. By the time we got there, I had let out a sigh as I walked into Jasper’s room and got changed into something else and soon felt someone wrap their arms around me and I smiled and turned to see that it was Jasper, “how are you doing?” he asked me and I shrugged, “nothing hasn’t really changed to be honest. I’m still worried about my mom, especially now that she’s probably a Vampire” I said to him and he held me close to him, “everything will be alright” he said trying to reassure me, “I miss her Jazz” I whispered to him as I felt myself begin to cry, “I know darlin” he said as I felt hi gently kiss the top of my head and the both of us just laid in bed for a while until I was beginning to feel hungry and headed downstairs to grab something to eat. 

When the next day came around, I sat outside eating some cereal until Jasper had come out with Edward and Bella behind him, “what’s up?” I asked them as I finished eating, “we have a plan about how to keep Victoria away from the both of you” Jasper said and I nodded, “alright, what is it?” I asked him, “we were thinking of having Jacob and Jared mask our scents when we go to the campsite” Bella said and I nodded, “alright then just give me a minute to get changed than” I said and got up from the chair and walked inside to put the bowl in the sink and get changed after washing it and by the time I was done, the four of us had left the house and headed to where the fight would take place. By the time we got there we saw Jacob and Jared walking toward us, “you’re not fighting? What, did you pull a muscle or something?” Jacob asked us, “they’re doing it for us ok” Bella said to him, “whatever. Just tell me the plan” Jacob said, “this field will give us an advantage in battle. We need to lower the Newborns with Bella and Venus’s scents. It needs to end here” Jasper told them, “Edward, Venus and I are going to a campsite. Even if him and Jasper carry us, they’ll still pick up on our scents” Bella explained, “your stench however, is revolting” Edward said to Jacob, “dude, you really don’t want to start comparing stinks” Jacob said, “who cares who smells the worst at the moment, you can do that after of you’d like” I said before Bella spoke up, “what he means is, is that your scents will mask ours if the both of you carried us” Bella said, “done” Jacob said without hesitation, “alright, I’ll do it” Jared said after him, “this is not a good idea” Edward said to Jasper, “do you have any better Ideas?” I asked him and he said nothing, “Edward she’s right and besides, they don't want to get anywhere near his, odor.” Jasper said to him, “ok let’s just try it” Bella said and both herself and I walked up to Jared and Jacob and they picked the both if us up, “load a wolf coming up” Jacob said and I rolled my eyes a little, “run” Edward said and Jared and Jacob had ran off as they carried both Bella and I to the campsite.

Jasper’s P.O.V       
Not long after they had left with Bella and Venus, I decided to wait a little longer until I decided to finally in hopes that this will actually work and so far all I could smell was Jared and Jacob and no Venus or Bella which is good to know and after a while longer of searching and still only being able to smell Jared and Jacob, I headed back to Edward to see that he was still there, “all I picked up was wolf stench, no Bella or Venus. This will work” I told him, “Great” He said sarcastically. Later that day, we had gotten back home for the day and both Venus and I were in my room until she decided to speak up, “I need to get more clothes from the house” she said as she looked through her bag of belongings, “alright, I’ll come with you” I said and she smiled a little and we decided to drive to her place to see police there, “who told them what had happened?” she asked wondering, “I don’t know, but I also don’t know whether or not this is good or bad” I told her and I can feel her become nervous about it all, “Charlie is there, Bella’s father” she said and I furrowed my brows a bit and she decided to get out, “hey Charlie, is everything alright?” she asked him as if she didn’t know what was going on and I decided to get out of the car as well, “hey Venus, have you seen your mother lately?” he asked her and Venus shook her head, “no I haven’t. Is everything alright?” she asked and he sighed, “we believe she might have been kidnapped” he said to her and she stood there not saying anything and I just played along, “do you have any Idea who could have taken her?” I asked him and he shrugged, “we were thinking that it might be whoever is causing the commotion in Seattle” Charlie said and I nodded, “do you mind if she heads inside to grab some clothes, she’s been staying at my place with my sisters since Graduation” I told him and he looked back before looking back at us and nodding, “yeah, go ahead. Hey let her through” Charlie said and another Police Officer let us inside so that she could grabe what she needed. By the time she finished, we headed back out to see some of the Police Officers had left the scene, “Hey Venus if you need anything, let me know alright. I’m assuming that you’ll be staying with them until we figure this out” he said and she nodded, “thank you Charlie and Yeah I will be” she said to him and she smiled a bit before I opened the door for her and she got in and we soon drove back.

By the time we had finally gotten back, I had decided to tell the other’s what was going on while Venus got everything sorted out, “hey guys. The Police have started searching Venus’s place, someone must have called them about it” I said and Carlisle stood up along with Esme, “she we do something about it?” she asked and Carlisle shook his head, “no, I don’t think there is anything we can do about the situation. Was Charlie there” Carlisle said and I nodded, “yeah he was, he allowed Venus to grab some clothes from the house” I told him, “did he have any Ideas about how it had happened?” he asked and I nodded again, “yeah, he thinks that what happened to Venus’s mother has something to do with what’s going on in Seattle” I told him and he sighed and we continued to talk about it until I felt someone’s sadness and headed upstairs to see Venus crying, “what's wrong?” I asked sitting next to her on the bed and held her hand, “everything, I’m just scared about all of this. I don’t want to lose my mother, I don’t want any of this for her Jazz and I don’t know what to do about it and it sucks that we can’t tell Charlie about it either that’s why I was pretending not to know what happened in the house” she said to me and I held her close to me, “I know darlin, I know. I played along with it a little bit” I said and she hugged me tightly and I can feel every kind of pained emotion, fear, sadness, worry and so on coming from her and it hurts me to see and feel her like this and she continued to cry until I heard her breathing become relaxed and noticed that she had fallen asleep and I gently laid her down on the bed and headed back downstairs for a bit, “How is she doing?” Esme asked me, “she’s upset” I told her, “poor girl. I wish there was something I can do to help” she said and I sighed, “me as well most of the time” I said to her and I stood outside for a bit and thought about everything that’s been going on in the last few days.
