"I feel like I haven't been back here in ages." Maleah mumbled, raking her fingers through her long hair while glancing over at Jazlyn who sat in her passengers seat. Letting out a small yawn, Jazlyn reached down to pick her small purse up that rested between her legs.
"Cause you haven't, it don't even matter though since ole boy been harassing you since you done went out and started living." Shaking her head at the mention of Chris, Maleah carefully pulled her seatbelt from off of her body. Trying her best to stall the time they had to get out of the car, because the last thing she felt like doing was getting out and having to walk.
"He really has mental issues, and it's crazy because he refuses to get help." Maleah huffed out, shaking her head because she didn't understand why the people around him didn't enforce the fact that he wasn't mentally okay. "Who am I even supposed to call in a time where he may or may not completely black out while with me? I heard him yelling and trashing the bathroom, I can't call the police-."
"Why?" Jazlyn furrowed her eyebrows, causing Maleah to look at her as if she was stupid. Flinging the pen in her hand at her best friend's head, she rolled her eyes hearing Jazlyn let out a loud ouch. "It was just a question you hormonal bitch, what the fuck?!"
"He is the police dumbass, say I'm in a situation, he can easily take the call and say he got it or something like that." She spoke softly, realization hitting her that she really didn't have any outlets or many options when it came to him. Throwing her head back groaning, Maleah felt annoyed she even had to deal with this in the first place.
"Well are you scared of him?" Jazlyn tilted her head, since she would easily have Luca take care of that if that was the case. Shaking her head no hesitantly, Maleah paused for a second before continuing on because she didn't believe he would hurt her physically. Though there really was no telling with him.
"I don't think so...I've watched him fight before and he doesn't shy away from getting physical with people. But I wouldn't be able to count on one hand how many times I've been physical with him, and the most he's done is slam me against a wall or something then you know..." Maleah trailed off, circling her hand because she didn't want to say it out loud. Nodding her head, Jazlyn adjusted the hat that was fixed over her long frontal while crossing her legs.
"Then you should be fine, I don't think he'll hurt you physically either so...and if he does, we'll just jump him." Jazlyn shrugged, causing Maleah to laugh but she was being dead serious. Running her hands down her thighs, she nodded while pulling her key out of the ignition after turning the car off. Staring up at her building, she wanted to scream at the thought of having to get out of the car. Especially because it was hot, and she was already sweaty.
