Chapter 36: Fountains
108th Precinct, Long Island NY
November 5th, 8:00 pm

Baby, longing you make me feel something
I got my eyes on you, pull down the curtain
I'll be patient with you, no more fighting

"Man the way that little girl already got me wrapped around her damn finger? It's like- I don't even know the word to describe it

"Man the way that little girl already got me wrapped around her damn finger? It's like- I don't even know the word to describe it." Chris ran his hand down his face, his eyes never leaving the picture of Nova that Maleah sent him. "She got to give birth to all my kids." He mumbled, but Luca still heard him.

"Ain't that what Mia there for?" He raised an eyebrow, Chris' smile instantly wiping off of his face as Luca threw his head back laughing. He didn't understand what the problem was considering that was in fact his friends girlfriend, and according to him and the way they made it seem, he was happy. Luca knew better than to think he was in love because he had a lot of speculations that Chris was sleeping out on the girl, no matter how many times he denied it...but he chose to just mind his business since everything will eventually unfold one day.

"Can Mia make me another Nova? I don't think so." Chris fake smiled, before putting his attention back on the phone.

It was wild to him that there was really a point in time when he wanted nothing to do with Maleah in terms of anything pregnancy or baby related. Yeah he was a little excited while she was pregnant, but he also didn't really want to spend the rest of his life in hers due to the mental headspace he was in prior. The time when he was feeding himself bullshit that translated into her. But he couldn't have been happier she chose to go against all of that and still give birth to their beautiful baby girl, Chris feeling like she was exactly what he needed. Coming during the perfect time at that.

"So you and Leah completely good? Like y'all cool, figured out how y'all going about the coparenting life and all that?" Nodding his head proudly due to how smooth their relationship had been going for the last couple of days, Chris set his phone down to lean back into his seat.

"Yeah, her and I great actually. We didn't come up with a formal plan or whatever, cause she works whenever she pleases and I'm in and out or here but flexible. So I just been going over there every day before I go to the crib, this the first day I haven't seen her." He sighed, shaking his head in a stressed out manner because he missed her. Her referring to both Nova and Maleah.

"You be going over there with her dude- don't she live with him?" Luca tilted his head, Chris reluctantly nodding his head because the thought of Michael always made him want to go put a bullet in the dudes head. He emphasized to Maleah that he respected her relationship, but that didn't mean it was true. He just didn't try anything or say slick stuff because he didn't want to mess anything up. But he for sure thought things every single time he had to see the man, or the both of them do things he was doing with her at a point in time.
