Times Square, New York
January 23rd, 3:14 pm

No I'm not the type of girl you bring to mom
But we've got a special bond
You ain't the type of guy I bring to my dad
But there's nowhere else I'd rather be

"Alright, so all I'm going to need you to do for me is sign both here and here, and all of this will officially become yours." The older man in front of her spoke as he uncapped his pen, before handing it over to a beyond anxious Maleah.

Taking it out of his grasp, she wasted no time in scribbling down her name along the 2 places she was supposed to sign. She would have read the papers, but she'd already done so repeatedly with her lawyers and signed many contracts that ensured these were the same exact papers. Her eyes briefly skimming just to double check, before she handed the papers back to the man along with his pen.

"So...is it mine?" She asked, her hands clasped together in hopes that the answer would be the one she was expecting. Holding the paper up, the man trailed his eyes along the wording before nodding his head with a proud smile on his face. Holding his hand out towards Maleah who couldn't contain her wide grin, the two of them shook hands firmly.

"Congratulations on your new property, here are your keys." He reached into his pocket, before handing them over to Maleah who looked as though she was on the verge of tears. Her hand shook as she gathered the keys, trying her hardest to contain herself, but to say it was difficult would be an understatement for the way her emotions were trying their hardest to become prevalent.

"T- thank you, thank you so much." She spoke just above a whisper, watching the man who sent her a brief you're welcome with a head nod before leaving out of the building. Watching him the entire way with her hands pressed atop the counter space that sat in front of her, Maleah waited until he was out of the door and completely out of view before turning towards Jazlyn with nothing but tears in her eyes.

"Leahhhh, don't cry bitch because then I'm going to cry- come here." Jazlyn poked her bottom lip out with her arms extended towards her best friend. Bringing her hands up to cover her face, Maleah allowed herself to fall into Jazlyn's arms before she broke down crying. But they weren't just any tears, they were happy tears, proud tears, tears of accomplishment.

To officially be opening a second salon that was even bigger and contained a lot more than her first one was huge to her, it was something she'd been working on for so long. Adding nails and a separate section that was still connected for it to also be a barbershop, Maleah knowing it would bring in a lot more money and get a lot more attention because of the additions. The salon being right in Times Square only adding to the fact she knew the demand would already be high, the calendar completely booked up until the summer time and the salon wasn't even officially open yet.
