"I'm really the Beyoncé out of everybody, wow." Maleah fixed her shades, just as Chris pulled into her mother's driveway where loads of cars were piled up. Glancing over in her direction, he simply shook his head with his teeth sinking down into his bottom lip. She did look undeniably good, and if it was up to him they probably wouldn't had even made it to the dinner. But he didn't have much of a choice when she started to rush him, so there was no time for that.
"You the only one who believe that-."
"Don't be disrespectful on a day of thanks." Maleah rolled her eyes, causing Chris to chuckle. Glancing back, he looked at Kaiden who sat occupied in his tablet, before looking over at Nova. He couldn't see much of her due to the car seat facing the other way, but he was able to see her little hands and feet moving. "Her energetic ass." He mumbled, making Maleah turn her head also.
"My babies, I'm really a mother." She poked her bottom lip out, admiring the image behind her. Sighing, she chose to turn back around before other thoughts began to run through her head from the setting they were in. Chris in the drivers seat, her in the passenger seat, 2 kids in the back. It gave off such an unwanted vibe and it made her want to scream, because that was the last thing she wanted to feel.
"Hurry up cause momma peering at us through the window." Chris pointed towards Kenya, causing Maleah to roll her eyes seeing her mother trying her best to "lurk." She always did this when Chris and Maleah were together, since she was beyond convinced that something was going on between the two. Even after Maleah reassured her time and time again that if it wasn't Nova, it was them in bed pleasing one another. Nothing more, nothing less.
"Girl so damn nosy, come on." Maleah mumbled, not waiting for Chris before stepping out of his Range Rover. Blowing out a breath, she immediately fixed her coat over her shoulders better from how cold it was. The weather wasn't shocking due to it being the middle of November, but that didn't mean she enjoyed it.
Opening the back door on her side, just as Chris did the same on the other side, Maleah helped Kaiden out of his car seat. She smiled at how cute he looked in his little thanksgiving outfit that she'd gotten for him specifically for the day. Her eyes then trailing over to Nova who Chris was picking up out of her car seat, Maleah's bottom lip poked out eyeing her daughters little dress and brown headband bow that she dressed her in.
"I made the most beautiful babies to walk Earth." She whispered, leaning down to give Kaiden a gentle kiss on his forehead once he was placed on his feet. Grabbing his tablet, she gave it to him again while grasping his hand in hers to follow Chris and Nova to the front door. She would have asked why he didn't have the stroller or car seat, but she knew her parents had a bunch of baby stuff already there for the times they would keep Nova and Kaiden.
