Twisting her lips to the side in a focused manner, Maleah leaned her body up against the countertop she stood behind. In her surroundings, she heard nothing but the voices of the other women that occupied every chair of her salon. A sound that she honestly missed, considering she hadn't been back for a while since she was originally taking time to focus on Stasia. Extending her stay away after everything went down since she now had another thing on her hands, just needing some time to clear her head before she could come back and continue on with her normal everyday tasks.
"It's nice to see you back here in your element boss lady." Maleah heard coming from behind her, her head turning to see her sister and Jazlyn walking in her direction. Turning around fully, she rested her back up against the spot she stood in before.
"Thank you...and thank you both for handling everything here. I know it was a lot of stuff because I was unorganized and all of that-."
"Girl please, you had bigger shit to be worrying bout than what was going on here." Jazlyn waved off, placing down the stack of papers she filled out per Maleah's request. "Your health comes first, don't ever forget that." She pointed to her best friend sternly, knowing how easy it was for Maleah to bombard herself with work while putting herself second.
Sighing, Maleah simply nodded her head because she knew she couldn't argue when it came to her self-neglect. "Well Kaiden comes first but...yeah." She mumbled, moving a piece of her hair out of her face with a small smile spread on her lips.
Fixing her glasses that she wore, Imani grabbed the chair that sat directly in front of Maleah to take a seat herself. Although they weren't alone, nor in that much of a secluded area, they were still closed off enough to talk without everyone hearing them. Both Imani and Jazlyn really going to Maleah to speak on her current situation, having enough of discussing work and they knew Maleah needed a break from that too.
"Mhmm." Imani hummed, before trailing her eyes over to look at Jazlyn who already stood with a small smirk on her face. Waving her hand in a way to tell Imani to continue, she took a step back to stand next to a slightly confused Maleah.
"Are you both going to keep speaking in signal as if I'm not right here or what...?" She spoke up after the two continued on, barely paying Maleah any mind. Turning both their heads in her direction, Imani cleared her throat first while sitting up in her seat.
"So, on another note, how has everything been with you know...Stasia, the BD?" Laughing lightly, Maleah glanced between the two of them with an amused expression on her face.
