"You playing a real dangerous game fucking round with her the way you are, especially because the only backup you have is myself and that's barely anything. You have nothing wired to you because you refused, all you have is the means to report back the things you know and that's it. You get hurt, nobody even gon know." Lucas said to Chris who sat with his blunt resting between his lips.

Taking a slow inhale, he allowed the smoke to fill his mouth. His lips slightly parted to release it before inhaling back in through his mouth to allow the feeling to pass through his lungs. Glancing over at Luca, he kept his body rested up against the building that the two stood outside of.

"I have no other option but to do that, there's only but so many ways I can stay around her without revealing who exactly I am. She get upset and annoyed, but it keeps us connected which is all that matters to me." Chris shrugged, his way of controlling the situation being one that was mainly drafted up by the chief, but also one he agreed to.

"Which is dumb...like I said." Luca waved his hand, not understanding why Chris possibly believed that his logic behind any of this was smart or anything close to that. "And you keep forgetting the fact that this case is personal, meaning whatever happens directly affects her yes, but also you. You have personal feelings towards that girl-."

"I don't got nothing towards her, I don't understand how many times I got to make it clear whatever we was doing was simply fucking. Nothing more, nothing less." Chris quickly dismissed, tired of both him and Kordell trying to imply that his actions were motivated by anything but the fact he had a job to complete. There was nothing more to it, not in his head at least.

Tilting his head, Luca looked at Chris as though he was dumb. "I'm just gon let you have it cause I don't got time to be having this same conversation time and time again, but just know you in denial. Ain't nobody saying you love the girl, but everything that you doing is not motivated by this fuck ass job. We both know that." Luca pointed between the two, but Chris only waved him off.

Taking another pull from his blunt, he glanced towards the ground before exhaling towards the sky. "...What's the deal with her and that nigga though? Why she keep the kid away from him the way that she does?" Chris finally asked after a couple seconds of silence consumed the two.

Fixing up his hoodie since the both of them were out of uniform, as they normally were due to this case, Luca reached into his pocket to pull out a pre-rolled blunt. Holding his hand out for Chris' lighter, he waited until his friend dropped it in his hand so he could spark his blunt up.

"I don't know a lot, but first things first that nigga is married with kids, his wife and kids don't know he got a baby with Jahzara though-."

"Wait what...?" Chris turned towards Luca with pure confusion spread in his face. Not understanding how his wife couldn't have known about the child if he claimed he was trying to get the kid back. Chris also having no clue the man was married in the first place.
