"Maleah I love you, I really do...but on everything I'll burn ya fucking sister alive-."

"Baby..." She sighed, running her hand through her hair as the two of them sat in Maleah's parents living room.

After the time they shared 3 nights ago, the two of them called back Cylis as soon as they realized he was trying to reach them. But because he knew they didn't get a lot of time and opportunities to just go out with one another, he felt they deserved their time away without having to be bothered by Imani's mess. So he took the kids and went to their parents house, which was why Chris and Maleah were there and the both of them clearly beyond pissed from the information they learned about the things Imani called herself doing since the two of them left.

"He has every right to be upset, whether Imani is my daughter or not there's something wrong with that girl when it comes to that little boy. I don't know who popped his ass, but I sure as hell wish it was me." Bernard chuckled, leaning back into the couch nonchalantly because he didn't care about the fact that Kordell was gone. If anything, he was just upset he didn't get a phone call to join the party, since he'd been wanting the boy's head since the first time Imani came crying to them about him...which was 6 years ago.

"Your old ass, he would have got you before you could get him." Cylis snickered, before quickly jumping back before his father could hit him. Looking over, he threw his head back groaning seeing their mother sitting in her seat with a small frown lining her lips. "Momma-."

"Cylis not right now." She sighed, crossing her right leg over her left. Looking over also, Maleah simply rolled her eyes, not understanding how Imani was getting any type of sympathy in that moment. Although none of them knew what happened to Kordell and why except for Chris, Maleah, and Cylis, that didn't change the way he treated Imani when he was still alive.

Kordell and Imani went back about 8 years, the two of them being off and on all of that time...but it was more like Imani was always on while Kordell was off most of the time. In the beginning they were happy and deep in love, in the stages of their relationship where everything was going well with no complaints or extra added on. But as time progressed, Imani eventually got pregnant with their son, ultimately causing their downfall to begin happening. Kordell was a disgusting individual, constantly putting Imani down and speaking on her body that didn't bounce back to normal during and after her pregnancy. That leading him to finding comfort in other women, that starting the cycle of cheating and toxicity that consumed the relationship.

"Maleah do you not feel bad for your sister one bit? Who would even think about killing Kordell-."

"I was the one who did it...Mrs. Smith." Chris spoke up nonchalantly, his eyes on Kaiden who sat on the ground occupied in Chris' phone. Hearing a loud gasp from the side of the room, Chris slowly raised his head to look over at Kenya who sat in shock...shock and fear. Both from how nonchalant Chris was about it, and also about the fact that she was learning she had a murderer in her house and as the father to one of her grandchildren. "And with all due respect, I don't feel bad about it one bit to be honest with you. It is what it is, sorry if it makes you upset." He shrugged nonchalantly while standing to his feet.
