With flowers in his left hand and a bag of things he knew she would love in his right, Chris released a deep sigh as he made his way up his stairs. He was sure this attempt wouldn't even work, considering she shut down all of the others he had for the last couple of days. Unless it was physical touch, which only consisted of his arms wrapped around her body in a secure manner, then she wasn't really up to it.
Knocking on the door twice, Chris could hear what sounded like shuffling and he could see the steam coming from under the door, showing she'd just come out from a shower. "You dressed Leah?!" He called out, not used to having to get that green light, but if that's what made her the most comfortable then he would respect it. She held insecurities for herself since everything, her body clearly not looking the same after everything. And on top of that, she couldn't even find it within herself to feel pretty.
"Y- yeah, you can come in." He heard her voice come out in just above a whisper. Nodding his head as though she could see him, Chris latched his hand onto the doorknob to walk in, but instantly freezing in place once he laid eyes on her.
"Oh...damn." He breathed out, watching the way a red hue began to heat up her cheeks.
"I know it looks terrible, I'll change just give me a second and-."
"Nah...nah calm down, don't change. You look good, it's just been a minute since a nigga got to see you all dressed up and shit. For a second I ain't remember how fine of a BM I got." He mumbled the last part, before remembering the flowers and the bag in his hand. "Oh, and these are for you." He smiled small, handing the bouquet of white roses to her while setting the bag on the ground.
Eyeing him through the mirror, Maleah slowly turned to accept the flowers, something she'd never received a day in her life. Although she still wasn't really feeling up to this, this being Chris proposing that he take her out since he couldn't stand to see her dwell around the house, it made her happy he was still making gestures. He didn't have to, and she reassured him of that time and time again, but he was persistent. Not wanting her to feel as though he wasn't trying to apply pressure because he really was.
"You didn't have to get these for me...I've barely even been talking to you." She sighed, adjusting the hat that covered her head. "Chris are you sure that-."
"I ain't gon tell you that you look beautiful again, you look perfect Leah...now come on cause niggas got places to be and if I got to drag you out this motherfucker I will." He raised an eyebrow, earning nothing but her lips pursed in a pout in response. Chuckling, he simply shook his head while grabbing her hand in his.
