I don't know where we're going but it doesn't seem good. Derek is driving and Arizona is in the front seat. Amelia is sat in the back with me, holding my hand like I'm going to disappear. The satnav says we have an hour until we get there so I'm going to sleep.
- Amelia : Y/n/n. Time to wake up
- y/n : No thank you
- Amelia : It doesn't work that way. We're here
- y/n : Where are w- Amy. Please
- Amelia : Hey. It's okay. Your just going to get some help
- y/n : Please don't. Amy please.
She doesn't listen to me. Just walks away to the car and leans against it. Arizona follows her and wraps her into a hug therefore leaving me with Derek.
- Derek : Your only going to be here for 5 weeks. Me or Amy will come visit every Saturday if we can. We'll call if we can't but if we can it'll be for as long as we can. I promise we aren't abandoning you
- y/n : Derek please. I promise I can get better. Don't leave me here. Please
- Derek : We know you can get better. We just think you might be able to do it with the help of some professionals
- y/n : I don't wanna go. Please, I don't wanna go
- Arizona : You need to calm down. This is hard on you, Amelia and Derek
- Derek : It's time. I'll see you in 3 days okay. Saturday is just 3 days away. I love you.
- Arizona : Amelia doesn't want to say anything because she's sort of been in this position and she knows it'll make things harder. She loves you, You know that. We'll be waiting for you to come home in 35 days. It's only 35 days
Fuck them. I trusted Derek and he said they wouldn't send me away. They've literally sent me away. Great. The worst part is that my own sister can't even say goodbye to me. She's gotten back into the car and left me. At least Derek and Arizona had the guts to say goodbye. Derek patted my shoulder and Arizona walked me to the door where they had been searching my stuff. She was the last person I saw.
- Mary : Hello y/n. My name is Mary, I'm one of your doctors. Can you tell me how your feeling?
- y/n : No
- Mary : Oh wow. You don't have to open up today. There's always tomorrow. Your roommate will be through in a bit. She's in the garden at the minute
- y/n : Roommate?
- Mary : Yes. Kara, she's been here for 2 and a half weeks. She'll be your mentor until she leave and then you'll become a mentor. We find that the mentor-mentee program really works with progression
- y/n : Oh erm okay?
A fucking mentor. I'm not a child, I don't need a baby sitter. Let's just hope this Kara woman isn't overbearing or a bitch. Oh god what if she's a Karen. I guess I fell asleep because someone is shaking me awake.
- Kara : Hey. Wake up. It's meal time
- y/n : Go away
- Kara : Come on. Up. I need new friends. Please y/n
- y/n : How's you know my name?
- Kara : I ran into Mary on the way to meet you. I'm Kara
- y/n : Oh. The roommate
She's dragging me. I've still got a pillow in my arms and she's just dragging me off the bed. Either I'm in a room with a psycho or she's pushy. Kind of hope she's just pushy at this point.
- Kara : Come on. You can sit with me. My mentor left 3 days ago and I've been alone since. Where are you from?
- y/n : New York. I moved for school and then to LA for a few months now I live with my sisters girlfriend
- Kara : Ooo, cool. I was born in Nebraska but moved here for college. I majored in english literature. Did you go to college?
- y/n : Yep. Also went to med-school
- Kara : So your like smart. Have you got any visitors coming on Saturday? My daughter visits me. Maybe you can meet her? I had her when I was 16-
- y/n : Okay, Kara, I get that you want to talk but I've just been abandoned here by my brother, sister and her girlfriend. I just want to go to bed
- Kara : That's okay. I'll come back to the room with you so your not alone. The first night is always the worst and most lonely
- y/n : Mhm thanks
Do I want to be alone? Yes. What are the chances of that happening? Slim. Kara left me alone for the rest of the night and didn't really bother me the next day. She pointed me towards the bookcase and told me to join her in the garden but we just read together. I had a few sessions with Mary. Despite all of this I refuse to forgive Derek and Amelia for dropping me off here. Well I refuse to forgive them but I'd kill for one of their hugs.
