I've got a new roommate. Well she's my mentee I guess. Her names Olivia. She's been doing okay. Meredith has come every Saturday except one and even still she called ahead because Zola was sick. Today is Friday. Day 35. I get to go home in 1 hour and 7 minutes.

- Olivia : What happens when you go home? Do I get a new mentor?

- y/n : Liv, you've been here two and a half weeks. You become a mentor when I leave. You'll get your own Olivia to look after and then when you leave, she'll become a mentor.

- Olivia : I'll miss you.

- y/n : I'll miss you too Liv. Try not to come back. Your only 19, you have so much purpose and to look forward to. My phone number is in your notebook. If you need me just call

- Meredith : Hello Miss Shepherd. Your amazing sister in law is here to take you home.

- y/n : Shut up Meredith. I think I've got everything. Bye Liv

- Olivia : Bye y/n

I don't want to be here another longer but I don't feel like I'm completely ready to leave. Believe me I'm a hell of a lot better but I'm still not recovered. I'm a recovering drug addict who is battling mental health issues and that makes me strong. Meredith is lugging my suitcase and when we get outside a huge smile breaks out across my face. I'm free.

- Meredith : Come on donut. Some little people are waiting for you at the car. I don't think I told you about Rowan. She's a foster kid we're looking after. She's 17

- y/n : Foster kid?

- Meredith : Long story. Alex ended up treating her at the hospital and we took her home

- Zola : AUNTIE Y/N/N

- y/n : Come here Zo. Your getting so big. Is Bailey at home?

- Zola : He's at home with Daddy

- y/n : You must be Rowan. I'm y/n, Derek's sister

- Rowan : Amelia told me to give you a hug from her. Is that okay?

- y/n : Come here

The drive home was great. Zola and Rowan were talking away to each other and Meredith had obviously stolen Amelia's Spotify. She had on a Taylor Swift playlist. We pulled up outside Arizona's and all of a sudden I'd forgotten about my luggage in the car. I just want to hug my sister.

- y/n : WHERE THE HELL IS AMELIA FRANCIS SHEPHERD?

- Arizona : Y/n? Your back. AMELIA. STOP SULKING.

- Amelia : GO AWAY

Am I storming up the stairs? Yes. I throw up the door to find Amelia sat in the middle of the bed staring at the floor. Once she realises it's me she throws herself at me.

- Amelia : I'm sorry I didn't come to see you I tried and I sat outside for like 12 hours every Saturday but I couldn't come-

- y/n : I missed you Amy. The whole time all I thought about was you

- Amelia : Did Derek come see you? He said he did

- y/n : Derek is a liar although me and his wife are friends now. How long has Rowan been around?

- Amelia : Probably a week and a half. She was in hospital for a week before going home with Meredith and Derek

- y/n : Ooo I have a present for you

I throw her hoodie at her. The one I had gotten really attached to when I first got here. She just laughed at it before chucking it on the bed and heading downstairs with me. Meredith was sat with Zola watching TV and Rowan was stood talking with Arizona.

- y/n : Can we go back to yours? I want to see Derek

- Meredith : Sure. You got everything girls?

- Rowan : Yeah. Let's go. Derek said he's making dinner tonight. Sweet and sour chicken I think

- y/n : Ooo, my favourite. If he doesn't kick me out then I hope there is enough for me. I've been stuck on chicken dippers and peas for the last 5 weeks

- Rowan : Doesn't sound too bad. I'd live on chicken dippers and peas

- y/n : Try eating it for 5 weeks

Me and Rowan are really getting along. I don't know how long she's going to be staying with Meredith and Derek but she fits in.

- Derek : Hey Meredith. How was girls day out-

- y/n : Heyyy Derek

- Derek : Oh god. I'm sorry-

- y/n : You owe me. Now, when's dinner ready?

- Derek : Half 6. It's sweet and sour-

- y/n : Rowan already told me. I've already claimed a seat next to her at the table. She's amazing by the way. And your wife, top notch. Getting bi wife energy from you though

- Rowan : Your on tiktok?

- y/n : Yeah, I don't post or anything.

This meal is probably the best one I've had in 35 days. Me, Rowan, Amelia, Arizona, Derek, Meredith, Zola and Bailey all around the table. Well me, Rowan, Amelia and Arizona are having the time of our lives down this end of the table whereas the 4 opposite is are having a sophisticated meal. It least I'm out of that hell hole.
