ANDREW'S POV
Okay I was seeing this girl for like 6 months but she ended it so I've been out drinking in a bar. Y/n and Carina would take Thor for me whenever we went out or she came over. Turns out she hates dogs. It's a little chilly but bearable with a coat. Ahh. Phone call.
- y/n : Andrew, where are you?
- Andrew : I'm walking home now. Why?
- y/n : Carina's working and I want to hangout
- Andrew : I'm drunk
- y/n : And I'm gay. Get home. I wanna watch twilight again
Okay I agreed to watch twilight with her ONCE and I might have enjoyed it. It's our guilt pleasure. No one knows that's we watch twilight when Carina isn't around. It's an Andrew-y/n bonding experience.
- Andrew : I'm on my way- Holy shit is that a baby.
- y/n : What?
- Andrew : Can you drive to the park near the house. I've just found a baby in the bush. Okay hurry please. She's cold
- y/n : I'm just grabbing a few towels. Okay I'm leaving now. I'll be there in 10 minutes
- Andrew : Hey. Shh. I've got you.
I've spent time with Amelia and Arizona's boys but they're 5 now. I've never really felt with babies, all my cousins were at least toddlers when I met them. Like I'm good with kids but kids this young?
- y/n : I'm here. Hello baby. Let's get you to the hospital huh? She's cold Andrew. Okay get in the car and whip that top off
- Andrew : You're dating my sister?
- y/n : For the baby. She's cold and you can't drive so you can do skin to skin.
- Andrew : Erm okay. Okay you've got to drive quickly. She's fucking freezing. It's okay baby. I got you
- y/n : Hey siri, phone 'My Love'
- Siri : Phoning 'My Love'
- Carina : Hello bella. I'm just on my break
- y/n : Me and Andrew are on our way to you. He found a baby in the park and she's really cold. She needs an incubator, Car. Can you have something set up for us in 15 minutes?
- Carina : Yeah for sure. Alex? Set up for an infant in the ER...it's y/n/n...Andrea found a baby in a park...How old does she look bella?
- y/n : Born today. Andrew pull her forward a bit. Yeah definitely today. The mother tried to clamp the umbilical cord with a peg. Car, she's in really bad shape
- Carina : Karen this is important. Are you almost here bella?
- y/n : 10 minutes away. Andrew hold her head. Yeah like that.
- Andrew : Sorry. Come on baby. Not long now. It'll be warm at the hospital
- Carina : Stay calm. I'm going to go and get ready for the baby to get here. Bye bye. I love you
- y/n : I love you
Okay. Shit. Baby on my chest. She's wrapped her hand around my finger, it's kind of adorable. I mean it's not great that she's fucking freezing but her hand on my finger and her head on my chest is just so cute. I can't wait until I can have one of these. Until I can be a dad.
- y/n : Okay. Come here baby girl. I got you. Chuck your shirt on and lock the car. We'll be in the ER
- Andrew : Okay. I'm coming. I can walk and put a shirt on
- y/n : CARINA? ALEX?
- Alex : I'm here. Pass her here. Someone start an IV. We've got her from here
- Andrew : I'm coming
I've gotten her this far, I'm not leaving her now.
YOUR POV
Andrew is going with Alex and the baby to do checks. He's connected to her. Ooo where's Carina?
- y/n : Hey April. Have you seen Carina?
- April : Yeah she was waiting for you and Andrew but a mum went into labour so she's down in OB at the minute
- y/n : Okay. Thanks. Have fun on the night shift
- April : Oh I will. Harriet hasn't been sleeping through the night and Jackson gets to deal with her
- y/n : Ooo just you wait until you get home and his sat waiting for you
- April : It's fine. I get to sleep when I get home
- y/n : True. Alright, I'm off to fine the girlfriend
- April : Bye Bye
So, OB.That just means she's probably in the middle of a birth so I'll just wait at the nurses station. Ooo I could grab coffee. I'm going to grab coffee. Oh fucking hell, I'm going to have to wait with Andrew until I can go home. I'm definitely getting a coffee now. One for me and one for Carina.
- Carina : Hello bella
- y/n : Heyyy, I got you a coffee
- Carina : Thank you. Where's Andrea?
- y/n : With the baby. He sobered up pretty quickly when we got here and wouldn't leave her side. If we go down to the NICU he's probably down there with her
- Carina : He's never been around babies very much. It's new for him
- y/n : He didn't want her to be out his sight line. Chased after her and Alex in the ER, haven't seen him since
- Carina : Let's go to the NICU. Might find my brother then. You look tired and should go home
- y/n : Can't leave without Andrew. I drove him here
She doesn't say anything, we just head over to the NICU where Andrew is sat next to an incubator.
- Carina : Andrea.
- Andrew : Come look. She's cold and smaller then she should be but she's so cute. Look y/n/n. Look at Isabella
- y/n : You gave her a name?
- Andrew : Everyone deserves a name y/n. How would you feel if we called you girl-dating-my-sister from now on. She's Isabella
We're going to be here all night.
