ARIZONA'S POV

Me and Carina have been looking after y/n and Amelia for the past 5 weeks. Amelia has been doing okay. She goes to work, comes home, stares at a wall, eats dinner then sleeps. Y/n acts like nothing happened. For a week she refused to talk and just moped around her's and Carina's apartments After that week she was at work and pretending she had been there the whole time.

- Amelia : How's y/n? I don't see her much. She's never home

- Arizona : She works a lot. Takes her mind off Derek I guess

- Amelia : I need to go see her. She's going to exhaust herself. I'll update you-

- Arizona : Hey hey hey. Slow down. I'm coming with you. Y/n's defensive at the minute. Call Carina on the way and tell her to get y/n's bed ready. We're making your sister sleep

This isn't a very well coordinated plan. Me and Amelia are storming off to the hospital and Carina is running a bath and getting out clean pyjamas for y/n. Apparently she hasn't been home in a while. We found her getting an intern to read a chart to her.

- Amelia : Y/n, why is an intern reading to you?

- y/n : Because

- Amelia : Move. Y/n Shepherd read this chart for me

- y/n : No thank you. I've got a job to do

- Arizona : We'll report you to the Chief and we'll get you pulled from the rota until you sleep. Hey woah, don't faint on me.

- y/n : The words are all fuzzy and my head feels separate from my body

- Amelia : We got to get her home. She's exhausted. Come on y/n. Let's go home and sleep, yeah?

She doesn't answer Amelia and just slumps against her chest so I have to run for a wheel chair. Fully grown exhausted woman in a wheel chair? Yes. We had to wake her up to get her into the apartment but she curled into a ball as soon as I put her on the bed.

- Amelia : Has she been home at all recently?

- Carina : Not really. She come home and locks herself in there. I barely see her

- Arizona : We need to keep an eye on her. She's not doing great and we don't want her to pull a Meredith and disappear.

- Carina : I've got her. Go home. I'll call if she wakes up

- Amelia : We can't leave her-

- Arizona : Come on. Y/n's a big girl who has a roommate to lean on. Trust me, she'll be fine

I know Amelia wants to look after y/n but she's got to pull up her big girl pants and deal with this like an adult. I don't mean to sound harsh, I know what its like to loose a brother and I wish there was someone there to do this for me.

YOUR POV

I want to sleep but I can't. My mind won't rest and I just feel alone. I heard Arizona and Amelia leave so it's just me and Carina here. I do wish Amy was here because she's in the same boat as me right now but she left. Here I am stood in the door way like a little kid, wrapped in a blanket.

- y/n : Carina

- Carina : You haven't been asleep long bella. Are you hungry?

- y/n : Can you come sit with me? I feel really alone and Amelia left

- Carina : Let's go to bed. I'll tell you all about growing up in Italy. Okay, lay down. Me and Andrea grew up in Italy together until our Mama and Papa got divorced and Andrea came to America with our Mama...

Carina's warm and comfy. I wake up what I presume is a few hours later to tea and biscuits on my bedside table. Carina wasn't in here anymore but that's okay, I got some sleep. I open the door to Amelia sat on the sofa.

- y/n : Where's Carina?

- Amelia : At work. You slept 25 hours

- y/n : What? You've got to be kidding me. I'm supposed to be at work

- Amelia : Your not working for a couple of days. You need to train your body for a sleep schedule. You can't go almost a week without sleeping and then sleep for a whole day. It's not healthy. You've also got to talk to someone. It doesn't have-

- y/n : I'll talk to someone. No need to go on a rant about how it prevents the decline in mental health. I know, it's my mental health. Jeez

- Amelia : I can make us some food if you want

- y/n : Can you make the spaghetti that you always made in LA. That was some good spaghetti

- Amelia : Yes? That was just sauce out of a jar

- Carina : I'm hom-oh (i read this as i'm homo) your up. I thought I'd make us all dinner

- y/n : Please.I'm starving

- Amelia : I'm going to call Arizona. It's a double date. Aww
