Turns out my oldest daughter has been texting y/n about college, not me. It bothers me because she's literally my daughter. Foster, adopted or biological. She's still my daughter not y/n's. I walk into Arizona's house to see boxes piled by the door and y/n putting more stuff into boxes

- Derek : Y/n. Why are you texting Rowan?

- y/n : Er it's rude to not answer texts. Why?

- Derek : She's not your daughter. She has nothing to do with you. I don't want you texting her anymore. Rowan is my daughter, mine.

- y/n : Oh, really? Well then where the hell were you when she got the chicken pox but only ate mashed potato for a week? Or where were you when she graduated high school because you sure as hell weren't there, I was. How about when she started college? Who the hell moved her mattress into her dorm and out of her dorm and then back into her dorm again?

- Derek : She's nothing to do with you. I don't remember you fostering her. Leave her alone

That's come across wrong. I didn't mean that. Shit fuck. I'm a dickhead. Wow. She's kicked me out. Great.

Derek = Dickhead. I don't think he meant it. I think he's upset he's missing stuff in Rowan's life but she doesn't feel like she can go to him sometimes. She feels like she can come to me.

- Carina : Y/n? Are you read- Are you okay?

- y/n : Yeah. Let's get this stuff to the new apartment

- Carina : Alright. Let's go

This new apartment is really making me feel like an adult. I mean I've lived away from my sister before but I was always high. This is actual real life. I mean it's a step forward. Yes I still have a roommate but I'm adulting.

Derek told me to stop texting her, so I did. He can tell her about it and then she can react appropriately to him. He's really pissed me off and I presume he's going to have pissed her off too. It's not our fault we get along better then she gets along with him.

- Carina : We only have time to set up one room tonight

- y/n : I've left something at the old place anyways. I can crash there tonight

Bella? Huh? My names y/n? I'm so confused right now. Wait, oh, ahahaha. I get it. Okay yeah. Off to sleep on my sisters sofa. Lovely. Like I haven't done this before.

- y/n : Amesss

- Amelia : Go away. You moved out

- y/n : Are you mad that I've grown up?

- Arizona : Yes she is. She also feels like the house is too quiet and that you'll never come see her

- y/n : I've literally come to ask if I can crash on your sofa because we can't build two beds tonight

- Arizona : Oh wow. Amelia release your sister from the death grip.

- y/n : Ames can you let go? It feels like my organs are being put through a roller

- Amelia : I missed you

- y/n : I was gone for 4 hours. I work longer then that

- Amelia : Egh. Why do you have to be my favourite sibling? Why can't it be Derek or Lizzie?

- y/n : Lizzie hasn't contacted me for a while and Derek had a go at me. Your still my favourite

- Amelia : What did Derek do?

- y/n : You know how Rowan texts us more then she texts Derek? Well he started saying she's his daughter, we didn't foster her and that I should cut contact with her

- Arizona : So Derek being Derek?

- y/n : Yeah pretty much

We were in the middle of watching a film when the door flew and Meredith came stomping in followed by Derek.

- Meredith : Y/n fucking Shepherd you have worried the shit out of Rowan for no fucking reason. Answer-

- y/n : Your husband told me not to talk to her. She was asking if she can stay with me for christmas but I had to leave her on read

- Meredith : Derek fucking Shepherd what the fuck have you done?

- Amelia : Woah calm down Jamal, don't pull out the 9

- y/n : Amy no. I showed you that video because it was funny. It doesn't mean you should use it

- Amelia : This is like that spider-man meme thing you showed me. Where the cartoons are all pointing at each other

I regret showing Amelia her way through TikTok and Instagram. She's like an old woman when it comes to technology.
