Time is just ticking on. Amelia left about 15 minutes ago and it's now 11pm. I haven't seen or heard from anyone since Amelia left. I was hoping Carina would be in but I guess she worrying over Andrew being in surgery. I'm going to sleep. I just want to sleep.
- Maya : She's the other victim we saved today. Stab wound to the abdomen. Found her unconscious, slumped against a wall
- Arizona : She's my sister-in-law. Drives me up the wall but she's family. Thank you for saving her
- y/n : Anyone would think you care about me RoboCop
- Arizona : You were supposed to be asleep
- y/n : I care about you too. You and all the metal
- Arizona : I want to take it bac- Shit.I've got to go. My pager.
Well that wasn't suspicious at all. I saw the panic written over he face when she read the pager.
- Maya : I'm going to head out. COVID and all and I presume you want to sleep
- y/n : Thank you for finding me
- Maya : It's my job. Try not to get stabbed again though. Wouldn't want to save your life again
- y/n : Mhm
Sleep. It's all I want but no. I wake up to someone climbing into the bed with me. This has got to break so many COVID restrictions at the minute. Do I want to open my eyes? Not reall- Why are they crying? A stranger has climbed into my hospital bed and is crying on me.
- y/n : Hi?
- Carina : I didn't mean to wake you up
- y/n : What's up Car, why are you crying?
- Carina : Andrew. He's not- he didn't.
- y/n : No
- Carina : Yeah
- y/n : Don't say it. Don't fucking say it. Bells can't grow up without a dad. Fuck
- Carina : 22:50. He's gone Y/n/n. What do I do?
- y/n : Come here
Am I hugging my ex-girlfriend while we both cry over loosing one of the most important people in our lives? Yes. Just Isabella isn't even two yet and has already had 3 parents leave her whether by choice or not. I finally got to sleep and was woken up by Maggie.
- Maggie : That breaks so many restrictions
- y/n : Just sh. She lost her brother and I lost my best friend. Chances are she's now the legal guardian of Isabella
- Maggie : Arizona found Andrew's will at the house. She is getting it checked over now before any legal proceedings start
- y/n : Was there anything that could've been done?
- Maggie : He bled out. Surgeons tried everything they could but it was too late
- y/n : It should've been me. People should've focused on Andrew. He's got a daughter. Had. Fuck
- Maggie : We put equal effort into saving you both. You were more at risk due to the cross contamination of blood so we rushed you into surgery first. Andrew bled out. No one could've predicted it
It should've been me. Andrew had so much more to live for then me. All I can think about is Isabella and Carina. They didn't deserve to loose him.
- Carina : Y/n?
- y/n : I'm still here. Are you okay? Sorry. Stupid question
- Carina : No it's fine. I'm not okay
- Amelia : Are we intruding?
- y/n : No
- Arizona : We read Andrew's will. He named y/n as Isabella's legal guardian because, and I quote, "My sister moves around too much for a child"
- y/n : Me?
- Arizona : Yeah I don't understand either
- y/n : Shut it RoboCop
- Carina : You helped Andrea when he first found Isabella. It's understandable. It's okay
- y/n : Is there anyway for Carina and me to get joint custody of her? She needs her Aunt
- Amelia : Yeah. You just need to sign saying you are taking Isabella into your home
Fucking hell. Why me? Not that I don't love Isabella but Carina's her family. Her aunt. I'm just the friend that's called an Aunt because the parent is so close to me.
- y/n : When can I leave? I need to get out of here. Sort out the joint custody
- Amelia : Maggie said a few days but you'll be on rest for weeks and it's a 70% chance your life won't be the same
- y/n : What? 70? I- fuck?
- Arizona : Come on Carina. I'll take you home to clean up and see Bells and the kids
- y/n : Hey Arizona. Take care of her please. Please tell Bells I miss her. I'm sorry I can't come home with you
- Carina : It's fine bella. You rest
- Amelia : Are you okay?
- y/n : No. My best friend is dead. I'm basically a mother, I'm still in love with my ex girlfriend, I was stabbed in the middle of a global pandemic and I'm on absolutely no painkillers so this hurts like a bitch
- Amelia : What do you- oh. But it's medical
- y/n : I heard you refused pain killers after brain surgery. I need you to do something for me
- Amelia : Yeah?
- y/n : I want to organise a memorial for Andrew
