Naboo

Entirely y/n's POV

I sighed, beginning my shift, and began wiping the counters of the bar. Today had been fairly quiet, and I only had to make a few drinks so far. I looked up as I heard someone walk in, smiling when I saw Dash. I had only been working at the cantina for a small amount of time, and I was glad that I had made a friend already.

Dash was extremely friendly, and always eager to help me with any questions that I had. He was experienced, but only by a few years.

"Thank the maker! I was worried I would have to wing it this time." I sighed in exasperation, smiling up at him as he threw on his apron.

He chuckled, patting my head before beginning to prep his side of the bar. "I'm sure you would've done fine, kid. You've got a knack for it, I can tell already." He spoke, immediately boosting my mood as I blushed. I murmured a small "thanks", embarrassed by the unexpected compliment.

We both glanced up as we heard two people walk into the bar. They were both around our age, and they appeared to be in an argument of sorts. The girl was a bit taller than average height, and her sand-toned skin complimented her wavy cinnamon-colored hair nicely.

The boy had a lighter complexion and was only a few inches taller than she was. His black hair was tousled and looked as though he had just been through a solar wind storm.

"You were the one who agreed to the bet, Jack!" The girl exclaimed with an evil-looking grin on her face, shoving him forward towards us. Dash smirked, crossing his arms as he watched whatever was unfolding in front of us.

The boy, Jack, grumbled unhappily, suddenly appearing to be shy. The girl walked up the bar in front of us, resting her elbows down onto it as she looked up at us expectantly. She then pointed to the boy beside her.

"This here is my old pal, Jack. Poor chap just lost a bet, and now he has to down four shots of your strongest booze." She chided happily, clapping her hands together with excitement. My eyes grew wide, quickly glancing over at Dash, whose grin couldn't get any wider.

He patted Jack on the shoulder, snickering. "Anytime! Y/n, why don't you whip something up." He exclaimed, smiling at me as I nodded. The drink didn't take long at all to make, seeing as it was pure liquor, no flavorings.

"I'm Kass, by the way." The girl introduced herself, reaching out her hand. I took it cheerfully, keen to make some new friends.

"Y/n l/n. This is Dash Farlando, my coworker." I responded, letting go of her hand as she nodded. Dash smiled from beside me.

I then set the drinks in front of poor Jack, who was cracking his knuckles apprehensively. "Oh, liven up, Jack! Down the hatch." Kass scolded, giving him a hard pat on the back.

Dash laughed, pulling me closer as we watched. Jack smirked, grabbing a glass from nearby. "Wha-" I began, though was silenced as Dash put a finger over my lips. "I want to see what he's going to do." He whispered.

I nodded, snickering.

Jack emptied all four raw liquor shots into the glass, giving us a wink before downing the entire thing. Kass gasped as me and Dash's eyes widened.

"You asshole! You said you'd never taken a hard shot before!" She shrieked, smacking him repeatedly on the shoulder. He laughed loudly, ducking away from her hits.

"It's not my fault you're gullible! You really believed me, at twenty-four years old, has never downed a shot before?" He exclaimed in between laughs.

Kass grumbled, sighing in defeat. Dash was clutching his side with laughter, holding onto me for support. I giggled, trying not to fall over from the weight of him pressing against me.

"He'll make it up to you somehow," I told her, trying to cheer her up. Jack snorted, crossing his arms as he shook his head.

"As if." Kass refused to look at him, turning to face the opposite way. He rolled his eyes, calling out to her, but she ignored him.

He groaned in annoyance.

"Okay, fine! What do I have to do for you to talk to me again?!" He whined. Kass grinned, quickly turning around to face him once more. "Go to the casino and work your magic." She spoke, causing him to groan again.

I furrowed my brows, confused. "You really think he'd win?" I asked. Kass whistled, putting her hands on her hips.

"Oh, you have no clue. Jack rolls the dice, and it's over. He wins every. Single. Time." She spoke, almost as though she couldn't even believe her own words.

My eyes widened, and I glanced over at Dash, who was already staring at me.

"I'd like to see this happen." Dash announced, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. I snickered, nodding my head in agreement.

Jack nodded, a proud smirk on his face again. "Alright, I'm down. Let's meet up. When do you get off?" He asked.

"Sundown. Seven." I spoke, getting excited about our outing.

"We'll meet you outside the cantina, and we'll take you to our spot. I'll bring Luna, too, my sister. I think you'll like her a lot." Jack spoke, earning nods from both me, Dash, and Kass. If Luna was just like them, I'm sure we'd make a fine group.

"We'll see you then." Dash agreed, waving to them as they turned around and walked out of the cantina.

I could already tell that we were going to be great friends.

I turned to Dash, who was smiling as though he was thinking exactly the same thing. He shook his head playfully, quietly laughing to himself as he went back to work. I did so, too, looking forward to sundown.
