Luke's Training Temple
14-years-old
I sighed as my head hit the pillow. It had been another long day of training with Luke, and I was exhausted. I closed my eyes, falling asleep only moments later.
I began hearing whispers as the darkness gradually faded around me, revealing a muddy swamp. I glanced around in confusion.
Where am I?
I soon spotted a small house, too small for a human. I furrowed my brows, glancing around. A soft glow was emitting from the house's windows and door, intriguing me into its warmth. I discreetly made my way over to the home, noticing that I could walk on the water and that my feet wouldn't sink in the mud.
I crept into the doorway, spotting a person and a little green-colored frog creature. I stared at the person, his features feeling almost familiar to me.
Is...is that Master Luke? My thoughts went crazy. He seemed young but still much older than me.
My eyes then moved to the creature, who was old. He was short, probably around two feet tall. He was sitting in a small bed-type structure and was currently talking to Luke.
How had they not noticed me yet?
"Hello? Master Luke?" I asked, trying to gain their attention. Neither of them looked at me but instead continued their conversation.
Could they not hear me, or see me? My thoughts were answered as I made my way into the small hut, and neither of them noticed.
I began to listen to their conversation, eager to hear what young Master Luke sounded like.
"Soon will I rest. Yes, forever sleep. Earned it, I have." The creature spoke, though his voice was weary and weak. He hobbled over to his bed and gazed up at Luke. "Master Yoda, you can't die!" Luke blurted.
Ohhh, so this was Master Yoda.
"Strong I am in the force, but not that strong!" Yoda chuckled, climbing into his bed. Yoda & Luke exchange several words before I looked back up, suddenly enticed by something that Yoda had just said. "A dyad, there is to be. Two that are one in the force, there is. The next Skywalker, it is to be." Yoda told with great effort. My eyes narrowed.
Ben?
Luke stared at Yoda in confusion. "A prophecy, Master?" He suggested eagerly. Yoda frowned, sighing in what appeared to be melancholy. "Restore the galaxy, they will," Yoda stated, though his tone did not reflect the greatness of his words. Luke smiled broadly, celebrating with this news. "That's great, Master!" Luke replied cheerfully, not noticing Yoda's attitude.
"As the sun sets, one will have a new life, among billions."
Yoda looked grim. "Find out what the prophecy means, you will. Answers, I cannot give you. Figure out on your own, you must." Yoda muttered, motioning for Luke to come closer. "What do you mean, one? I thought it was a dyad!" Luke exclaimed, tilting his head to the side in confusion. Yoda grunted, shaking his head.
I tuned out the rest of their conversation, lost in thought over what Yoda had said. A prophecy was written about Ben? My eyes widened as another thought came into my mind. Who was the girl? I thought about it for a moment before I shook my head. Of course, a part of me hoped that the girl would be me, but that could never be true.
