I took in a few deep breaths, glancing up at Kylo, who was already staring down at me. It probably wouldn't be the best idea to tell him about AJ, so I had to think of something to tell him.

"Y/n, you can tell me. You can tell me anything." He whispered. I nodded. "I'm going to tell you everything, but you have to promise you won't get mad at anything I say," I answered, wringing my hands together. Lying to him killed me, it always had.

I was older now, and I learned how to lie, and lie well. I was already a shitty person either way, what's another lie going to do?

I began by telling him more about my past, including some things that I hadn't known or remembered up until now.

"Wait, so your parents are a part of the Resistance? Are they alive?" He asked. I nodded, biting my lip in thought. "What age did they, umm, sell you?" He hesitated, cringing slightly. I narrowed my eyes.

"Around five years old," I replied, glancing back up at him as I shifted.

He stared down at me in confusion. "Did you grow up on the base?" He questioned. I nodded. "I only have a few memories of it, but they're fleeting." I clarified, focusing my gaze back out into the galaxy.

"I can't believe I never saw you around." He chuckled, playing with a strand of my hair with a smile.

"Did you have any friends?" He asked. I scoffed at him, slightly offended by the question. "Yes, Kylo, I had a friend." He smirked at my statement, raising his eyebrows in disbelief. "Oh yeah, what was their name?" He chuckled.

"His name was Poe, for your information." I retorted, crossing my arms over my chest. I watched in confusion as his gaze suddenly hardened as he narrowed his eyes at me. "Poe Dameron?" He sneered, his body suddenly becoming tense.

Oh boy.

I nodded slowly, disconcerted. "Do you know who he is?" I asked, glancing back up at him as he glared out into the open space. "Yes. He's the Resistance's 'most skilled' pilot. He also recruited a stormtrooper to help him escape once. Traitors." He growled, looking livid.

I huffed.

"Do you know if he's alive?" I asked quietly. Kylo shook his head. "Most likely." He grumbled, looking away from my gaze. I nodded, gently tapping his thigh in an effort to calm him down. "Y/n, I need to talk to you about what happened last week." Kylo began, causing me to draw in a small breath.

One thing I had loved these past few months was Kylo's total lack of questions about uncomfortable subjects. If something happened that was clearly upsetting for either or both of us, he never brought it up or asked. It was toxic, and I loved it. If we pretended that it didn't happen, then maybe it didn't. But you can't live a fantasy forever.

"What happened to you?" He whispered, staring at me with a look that I couldn't even begin to describe. He was unreadable, like one of those shitty Jedi texts that Luke hoarded. No offense to him.

"I-I don't really know," I replied, looking at everything except for him as I dug my fingernails into my palms, which were beginning to grow cold.

Lie.

But I couldn't help it. I glanced into his eyes, noticing the seriousness in them. He glanced away, lost in thought. "Kylo?" I asked, not exactly knowing where I was going with my question.

"Yellow." He responded, his voice deep with some sort of emotion that I couldn't yet decipher. He looked troubled, like something was eating him away from the inside. "What?" I asked, narrowing my eyes in confusion.
