"I love you," I whispered into his shoulder once we had gotten out of the horrendous scene in the cantina. Although it was muffled because of the fabric, I knew he could hear me. He was still rigid with anger.
This reminded me of when we first said 'I love you' to each other, back at the temple. It was a night that I'll never forget. It was a core memory.
"I hope we never have to leave here, Ben," I sighed as I lay in between his legs on the hill overlooking the lake by the temple. It was sunset, and the sky was a perfect pink and purple color.
The summer's heat was gone and was replaced by a warm and slightly windy night. I heard Ben hum to my comment as we snuggled closer to each other. We lay there in comfortable silence for the next few minutes before I stood up with a small smile.
The once sunset sky had now become a dark blue, signaling us to head back to our huts. Ben always walked me to my hut, which I appreciated. I smirked as an idea came into my mind. "Race you!" I shrieked as I started sprinting back to the huts, looking back to see Ben's eyes go wide.
"Hey?!" I heard him shout before he too started sprinting after me. When I was only a few yards away from my hut, I was tackled to the ground with a thump.
"I've got you now!" Ben announced, tickling my sides as I laughed. "Ben, stop!" I shrieked in between laughs. Eventually, he stopped, looking down at me. with a warm smile. We stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, but I didn't mind. "You always have me." I whispered quietly.
"I love you." He whispered. My eyes widened, a big smile growing on my face as I brought him in closer, resting my cheek on his shoulder. "I love you, too," I whispered back, closing my eyes in happiness, never wanting this moment to end.
Kylo gently wrapped his hand around my waist, leading me out of the cantina and towards the lake on the edge of Theed.
This moment couldn't be more perfect.
I'm with Ben, on Naboo. We had always talked about living on Naboo. This feels like a dream.
Something about the atmosphere on Naboo was comforting and hospitable. I took in a deep breath as we watched the sunset over the hills, causing a bright shine to fall upon the great lake.
I smiled, glancing over at Kylo, who was already staring down at me with a look that I could only describe as security. I turned, wrapping my arms around his neck lovingly as I sighed. His smile only grew as he connected our lips.
I hummed into the kiss, my mind empty of all other thoughts besides being with him. We stayed like that for only a moment, before gently pulling ourselves away from the warmth of each other and starting to make our way back to the cottage.
Nights on Naboo had always been magical. The sun would set over the high horizon, shining bright rays of light onto the water, causing a glittering effect.
Theed had a wonderful nightlife, which made for good business at the cantina. I often worked the night shift, wanting to distract myself from my thoughts.
The walk back to the cottage was filled with pleasant silence, we were both tired.
