I cringed as a wave of heat hit my face.
I hated the hot weather. At least you could cover up and get warm if it was cold. With the heat, you just sweat to death and feel like your skin is burning off. Okay, maybe that's a little extreme, but I really do hate the heat.
Tatooine was apparently a very hot planet, and I had stupidly not considered this as I was still wearing my uniform from the base. I glanced around as five other tie fighters landed around me. Stormtroopers were now piling out of them.
We skimmed the outskirts of a small town, where people were busily trading and making a living for themselves. I scanned the area, starting to make my way over to the village. I was flanked by several troopers, who were clutching their blasters in case of attack.
I knew that I needed to find them and bring them back, no matter what. They both generally had the same hair color, matted brunette, which would make it easier since it stood out more. I hoped that the Resistance hadn't found them yet, but I had a sneaky suspicion that they had.
I flinched as my comlink beeped to life.
"Y/n? Y/n?" an impatient Kylo spoke over the coms. I chuckled, "Yes, Kylo, I'm here. Clingy much?" I teased. I could hear him grumble over the com, muttering a no.
A stormtrooper approached me from behind, their finger outstretched towards something in the distance. My eyes widened as I saw it.
Rebel transport.
It wasn't very big, but that meant that this was going to make things a lot harder. I took in a deep breath as I began walking faster towards the town.
There were around twenty stormtroopers with me, who were all close by and ready to attack, but their presence didn't help my nerves in the slightest. A few of them were asking townspeople questions, but I could tell nobody in the town knew who they were. I quietly made my way through the small borough, careful not to bring attention to myself.
Suddenly, I felt it. The familiar tug of the force, but it wasn't Kylo. My eyes widened as I hastily glanced around. My stomach dropped as I found where the force was coming from.
A girl.
She was around my age, and she seemed as though she was looking for something, too. She was wearing white robes, along with several brown belts. She didn't look like she had a lightsaber, causing me to sigh in relief. Her dark brown hair was in three buns going down the back of her head.
Then I glanced around to see who she was talking to.
It was them.
They seemed panicked and had a light sweat dripping down their faces. I quickly ducked behind a large caber, attempting to come up with a plan. I scrunched my eyes closed, trying to think of something to do.
I decided to wing it, something that I was actually good at. I motioned for the stormtroopers to blow up the rebel transport, to leave them with no escape. I waited for a few moments for them to set up the bomb, and it didn't take very long before I heard a deafening blast. I looked away as dust flew through the air and a few panicked shouts were heard from the villagers.
I jolted from my hiding spot, seeing the girl, Sebastian, and Hersh turn around in alarm. Their eyes widened as the girl stared at me with a flash of knowing. I motioned for the stormtroopers to grab the boys.
My brows furrowed at her gaze as we made eye contact for a split second as I grabbed my blaster and ran towards her. I quickly shot towards her feet, but she dodged the shots, missing them by only a little. She pulled out her blaster and fired directly at my thigh, hitting it dead on as I yelped. I used the force to keep myself standing, but I knew I couldn't keep that up for long. One hand was shakily placed on the wound as I tried to somehow block the blood flow.
