The sound of wooden sandals clashing against the stone ground resonated throughout the air as you stomped your way through Monstadt; your destination, the Knights of Favonious headquarters.

Angry was an understatement, you were fuming. The audacity of that fro-zone wannabe to search your home and make a mess whilst he was there certainly drove you mad. Today, mercy was not an option.

Entering the headquarters, you steered your way to the Acting Grandmaster's office, not sparing a glance at the knights who watched you curiously. You didn't want to barge in as that would be uncivilised, so you knocked. Opening the door, you saw exactly who you wished to have a chat with.

"Mr Alberich, may I talk with you? Preferably in private." You asked, keeping your composure straight and expression stern. Kaeya gazed at you in confusion, caught off guard due to your sudden appearance.

"Only if I receive something in return, dear (Y/N)," Kaeya answered, closing his eyes and pointing to his cheek in hope of what you could only presume to be a kiss.

With your cheeks now as red as two ripe apples, you cursed the man for ruining your strict composure. Albeit, you weren't one to give in so easily. "Not now," Taking ahold of Kaeya's wrist, you began to drag him out of the room. "I have more important things to discuss with you, Kaeya."

Finding an area within the headquarters that was quite secluded, you held the strand of hair found last night in front of Kaeya's face.

"Care to explain why you were scavenging through my house?" Kaeya gazed into your eyes for a moment before he spoke.

"The Grand Master has concluded that you are a prime suspect, I do not—"

"A suspect!? Does the Grand Master assume every person who tries to find refuge in Monstadt a suspect?!" You exclaimed, anger beginning to cloud your judgement.

"No," Kaeya raised his voice, taking something from his back pocket and presenting it to you. "We found this hidden within your house."

So suddenly, all the anger and frustration simply depleted, leaving nothing behind except shock and confusion. What Kaeya held was the last thing you wished to witness; a mask, with carved designs that seemed so sinister. It appeared to be an exact replica of the mask that the harbinger proudly wore, except purple and more intricate.

"I have no recollection of ever owning a mask like that, I can explain—" Before you could finish trying to prove your innocence, Kaeya cupped your cheek, bringing his lips down upon your own and sharing a passionate kiss. You couldn't return the kiss due to being too stunned, only looking at the man in front of you in awe.

Breaking away, Kaeya still held your cheek, softly tracing his thumb over your now crimson red skin. "I believe you, (Y/N)." And without a moment to spare, he took off, only looking back to send a devious wink your way.
