A fire crackled and scorched the wood it had been given as fuel, stray embers leaping from the ever-rising flames. Although the warmth that it had provided was more than enough, it still could not tame the cold that ravaged the heart of Master Diluc.

The vintner stared into the dancing plumes of orange, yellow and red, wondering what had caused this almost unbearable emptiness. Diluc hadn't felt such emotions since the passing of his father and the absence of his brother, so what exactly was the catalyst? Had he been placing too many duties upon himself? No, his mind was elsewhere, busy conjuring endless thoughts about the hybrid lady who had entered Diluc's life and was abruptly stripped from it.

Tracing the intricate designs of (Y/N)'s bladed fan that she had left behind, Diluc could only hope to see the other one as well as (Y/N) herself. The redhead deeply sighed, desperately trying to shake the wearisome thoughts from his head, albeit, they always managed to find another way in.

On the other hand, the Anemo Archon was visiting the tavern more than usual, sometimes sleeping there for the night. If Venti was not at the tavern, he would either be playing by the great statue or at the old cottage (Y/N) once occupied. He had come to know the cottage as a home, yet without (Y/N) it was just another shelter from nature's elements. Of course, Venti had the power to stay by the adeptus' side, yet it was not his place to intervene in your escapade.

Venti made sure to keep the garden (Y/N) had planted fresh so that when she returned, Venti could once again enjoy a homemade meal with his love. Surprisingly, Albedo often visited the cottage to aid him in his efforts.

Within Monstadt, the threat of Fatui control had gone, only leaving a few remnants behind. The aftermath unsurprisingly left the knights busy as investigations and interrogations arose in its wake. Without a coordinator to organise the complaints from citizens, things were a mess.

Kaeya had taken the route that led to Angleshare tavern, often finding himself guzzling down more dandelion wine than he usually would. The cavalry captain refused to admit he felt guilty, almost responsible after he heard that the Inazuman refugee had been taken against her will.

Overall, (Y/N)'s impact had been stronger than everyone first thought it to be.

You didn't want to count how many times the red-headed harbinger had saved you because his ego would surely be inflated till it is fit to burst. Aether was grateful for Childe's quick aid in escape, although a little suspicious. Paimon, on the other hand, though you had betrayed her and Aether for joining the Fatui.
