Tonight, there would be a full moon.
Tonight, you will be alone.
Like the princess who was left on the moon.
Mizuki's folk tale rung throughout your head like a distant memory, and that is was.
Now Monstadt, the place you so desired to call home, would now become a distant memory.
You no longer felt Venti's anemo power within the wind brushing your hair, his laughter ringing in your ears and sending the butterflies within your stomach wild. As well as Aether, who was always there to chat. As well as Lisa,
Diluc,
Bennett,
Razor,
Kaeya,
Albedo.
The atmosphere around your dreary cell was like the deepest part of an ocean, pressure that could cause one to explode from the inside out. Your thoughts alone were so... depressing. Was it the side effects of the drug you had been given or just your own mind? You couldn't tell.
You had only awoken an hour ago, the drowsiness prying your eyes closed even though you commanded them to open and the sluggish movements were enough to prove that you were drugged before you were shut in a cell, like some kind of circus animal. Your stomach rumbled, tucking a tantrum for food. Yet, with all that was going on, you paid no attention.
The cell you had been chucked into was clean, yet empty. You supposed that whoever wanted you wasn't going to keep you in the cell for long.
A sigh escaped from your lips as your fingers traced the lock on the door, soon wincing in pain. Glancing at your palm you discovered a clean-cut, still fresh yet thankfully, the bleeding had ceased. Before you could recall the events that had led to this moment, you heard the lock jingle from the outside. Someone knew you were awake.
Launching yourself to the back of your cell, you reached for your weapon, only to find it unbuckled and removed from your hip. You cursed yourself for even thinking that they wouldn't take any dangerous objects from you. Before you could glance at the doorway once more, the door swung open. revealing the roach that wouldn't die even if you sprayed it twice.
"Greetings, (Y/N)!" The auburn-haired fatui waved his hand, sending you a sadistic smile. "How are you?"
'How dare you have the audacity to ask.' That was what you wanted to say but decided rage wouldn't get you anywhere other than six feet below the ground.
"A little tied up at the moment." You replied, holding up the chain that wrapped around your right wrist and connected to the wall. "Assistance, please?"
