Awakening to the boisterous tweeting of the morning birds enjoying the rising sun, you arose to smell the still smoky wood that was now burnt to a crisp. Observing your surroundings, the bard that you had saved from a certain lecture was nowhere to be seen, instead, he had left you with only his cape that hugged your bare shoulders. You thought being the supposed drunkard he was, Venti must have left to start some sort of trouble or return to the tavern to partake in another wine session. Standing from the ground and stretching out your sore limbs, you made your way outside to relish the fresh Monstadt morning wind.
Stepping outside, you noticed more about your surrounding than you did when you arrived here in a rush. The trees and greenery surrounding the area caved in, creating arches and canopies. Intrigued by the dirt patches that lay beside the cottage, you thought that it would be a good idea to plant some vegetables, alas, you had not been a farmer in your past so planting was out of the question for now. Overall, you were thankful for this little forest as it was also quite concealing, blocking off the rest of Springvale and Monstadt's view of the little cottage. Deciding that you should begin to clean up, you went back inside. Making your way over to the kitchen area, you felt something fall from the little satchel attached to your waist. Rolling along the dirty floor was your treasured tatami ball. Scattering like a cat trying to catch a ball of yarn, you quickly yanked the ball from the ground, afraid it would be damaged.
Rubbing off the dirt that caught in the tread, your hands embraced the ball, caressing it fondly as the mere sight of it brought you joy and comfort. "Little moon rabbit..." You smiled, remembering the name she always called you. Tucking away the Temari ball gently, you heard three loud knocks coming from the damaged wooden door. Who could that be?
As soon as you opened the door, Venti was standing there with a cheeky smile, holding a basket of fresh fruit and vegetables. "Good morning, (Y/N)! Are you well?" He asked, struggling to hold onto the heavy cargo. "I bought these for you! Would ya mind," The bard huffed, "helping me, hehe?"
"O-Oh, yes, of course!"
Quickly grabbing the basket before it could fall, Venti wheezed as the sudden weight had been taken from him. Inspecting the full basket, you were surprised to find such premium and juicy-looking fruits and veggies. "Venti, where exactly did you get these? I thought you were out of mora?" You asked, concerned that he stole the sustenance. Venti only giggled nervously, scratching his head. "I, um, have my ways. Never mind that though, think of all the dishes you can make!"
You thought about your cooking abilities, they were alright albeit, not the best. To cook, you needed a functional kitchen and utensils, which were probably unavailable. "I suppose I should get the fire started." You smiled, letting the bard into your new abode. Upon finding the kitchen area, you were not surprised to find it in ruins. Rusted pots and pans were scattered across the floor and the stovetop looked like it was just about to collapse from the inside. "Um, Venti, I don't think only a basket of vegetables will do." You sighed, grabbing the bard's attention. Venti giggled, clasping your shoulder as he inspected the kitchen.
