The navy-blue sea stretched on for miles, no land in sight. The only thing keeping you from jumping in the salty sea was how bloody cold it was. The cold nipped at the little skin you hadn't covered and sent shivers throughout the rest of your body. It was never this cold from what you remembered in Inazuma. Although Childe, in all his Snezhnayan glory, wasn't even bothered by the below-freezing temperatures. He just sat there, sipping his tea while the bottom half of his stomach was exposed. 'What a ridiculous outfit choice.'

You were on a journey, a mission, to Liyue once you had departed from the Snezhnaya harbour about an hour ago. Your aim: Rex Lapis' gnosis. Why exactly? You were left only to guess. Taking the china cup from its saucer, you lifted the rim to your lips with a shaky hand, feeling the warmth of the freshly-brewed tea travel down your throat. Childe watched as you relished the steaming liquid, chuckling as you nearly spat it out due to not letting the tea cool down. He didn't blame you though, it was a little colder than usual.

"Are you cold?" The harbinger asked, giggling as you stared at him with a dead expression.

"No, I'm just shielding my skin from the blistering heat; of course I'm cold!" You snapped back at him, the temperature now getting on your nerves.

The harbinger only laughed, standing up from the plush cushions he sat on. Before you could protest, Childe took off his jacket lined with fur and placed it around your shoulders. You melted into the fabric's warm embrace, already insulated from its past usage. You were too comfy to even notice that Childe had placed his hands on your shoulders.

"You should have told me earlier, little bunny." He whispered into your ears, his warm breath making your cheeks set ablaze. You were nearly about to melt, no longer on the brink of hypothermia as you processed the harbingers words

Disregarding his bold move, he suddenly had a mood swing from seductive back to his little shit persona.

"Make sure to get some rest, we will dock into Liyue harbour at dawn!" Childe ruffled your (H/C) locks, leaving you in a state of mental and physical disarray. Confused disarray to be correct. You watched him cheerfully stroll out of the lounge room, carefully closing the door behind him.

The sun was slowly descending behind the great sea, its glistening light reflecting upon the ripples of water and following the downfall. The sea was calm, far from the treacherous waters you had experienced when escaping from Inazuma. The rocking and swaying of the ship lulled your beating heart, providing a sense of calm. Soon enough, your eyes had grown weary enough to send you to sleep.

Hand-in-hand, a teacher and student walked along the gigantic bridge that led to the great city of Liyue. The student, a young and ecstatic child, yanked on the arm of her teacher to make haste. The day markets were fully restocked and the little Adeptus dreaded the thought of missing out on any type of yummy treats.
