"If it isn't any trouble, would you mind accompanying me on a small stroll?"
You stood face-to-face with the funeral home employee himself, Mr Zhongli, as he requested your presence to frolic around Liyue with him. It was an odd request, but at the time, you were doing nothing of utmost importance; obviously, he wasn't either.
"Ah, of course!" You answered the tall male, taking his side as he began walking down the streets of Liyue. "If I may ask, why exactly?"
"Am I not allowed to spend time with my prized pupil?" Zhongli responded, striking you dumbfounded. When were you his student?
"Mr Zhongli, I don't think—"
"You look exactly like her with that hairpin."
Silence enveloped the atmosphere as you tried to break down the wise man's words. Touching the hairpin you had decorated your hair with, you could only wonder what Zhongli was rambling on about. Who was this woman everyone thought you were?
Seating himself near a pond of Glaze Lilies, Zhongli gazed across the surface of the water that twinkled due to the sun's bright rays of light. The Glaze Lilies hadn't bloomed yet; it wasn't night. You seated yourself next to the man, more curious than ever. "Who do you mean by 'her'? Everyone seems to say that yet fails to explain!"
"Mingzhu... The Yueliang Adeptus."

"The Gold House..."
You stared in awe, gawking at the grandeur that one building could contain. Piles of mora scattered and rested against the burgundy marble walls outlined with even more gold. Every merchant's dream must take a peek inside the overwhelming house. You had to remind yourself that you weren't here to stare constantly but rather a situation of importance.
Running around Liyue with Aether and Paimon like headless chickens, battling fatui and treasure hoarders like bounty hunters, and finally, meeting with Keqing and Ningguang had most certainly taken a toll on your body. And now, you were led here like pigs chasing a carrot on a stick; it was all too suspicious for your liking. You couldn't help but panic, Childe was nowhere to be seen for days on end, and that didn't sit right with you as he would either lead you around or at least check in if he was gone for some time. You hated to admit that you were feeling some concern.
"Who? Where?" Paimon exclaimed, trying to figure out the owner of a familiar echoing voice.
"I imagine you would be entitled to a generous reward from the tsaritsa herself, given you hand over my assistant without much hassle."
