SSSN Vs JNPR Part One

Sun Wukong waves at the cheering crowds in the stands before spotting Team RWBY plus the Schnee family along with Jet, Penny, and Pietro. He locks eyes with Blake and grins giving dual finger guns. She blushes saying something to Weiss who snorts.

"You find them?" Neptune asks curiously.

"Yeah their all up there." Sun says pointing them out. Neptune follows his gaze and smiles waving. He couldn't hear it but Neptune could tell what Weiss was saying.

"Good luck Neptune!"

His smile widened to dopey grin. Then he heard Scarlet muttering. Looking over he saw that Scarlet and Sage were worriedly looking to the other end of the arena. Following their gaze Neptune's heart sank. It was Jaune and Ren who he thought were cool, but with them were Pyrrha and Nora. He felt a cold chill go up his spine. Oh he knew about Pyrrha Nikos. How couldn't he, when she was from Argus just like him.

"Are you alright?" Pyrrha asks in concern to the horrified look on Neptune's face.

"Please don't kill us." He mutters.

"I beg your pardon?" Pyrrha questions.

Sun leans close to Neptune's ear. "Dude what's wrong? It's Team JNPR. You knew this before we got in the arena." He whispers.

"Yeah but I didn't know these guys were team JNPR." Neptune angrily whispers back.

"We sat at a table with them." Sun nearly shouts. "Were you not paying attention?"

"No." Neptune admits. "Because I spent most of that time talking with Weiss."

Sun frowns. "Okay then why are you afraid of Pyrrha."

"She's call the the Invincible Girl for a reason Sun." Neptune says. "Hell dude she's on the Pumpkin Pete's cereal box."

"Seriously?" Sun questions. "That's actually pretty cool." Then he thought about it. "Oh that means she's..."

"Out of our league?" Neptune offers.

Sun sighs. "Yeah. Let's just hope for home field advantage." He says.

That's when four holographic images of biomes appeared before constantly changing in rapid succession indicating the randomization process for the turf was under way. After a few moments the two of them stopped as a field of tall savana grass rose from behind them. Then the second one stopped and Neptunes eyes widened with terror. Just like with Team RWBY's match the second biome was Ocean. The oceanic biome was mostly knee deep water with small islands a palm tree and a pirate ship.

Neptune froze still. His heart racing as memories surfaced. He could remember that day. The day he unlocked his semblance. The same day he almost killed his brother Jupiter. Jupiter had claimed that it wasn't true, but Neptune just knew it was. Neptune's eyes. The water had been in his eyes when it happened. What if it happened again? Neptune reached up pulling his goggles over his eyes.

Up in the stands Weiss frowns. "What's wrong with Neptune?" She asks.

Blake looks to Weiss with a sigh. "Well... according to Sun, Neptune's... afraid of the water."

"What?" Weiss questions. "Why? And why hasn't he told me?"

Yang decides to speak up. "Maybe he didn't want you to think less of him." She offers.

Blake adds onto that. "Also Sun never told me why. Maybe you could ask him about it after the match."

Hope looks in at the scene in the arena with curiosity. She wasn't sure why he would be afraid of the water. Had it hurt him? She closes her eyes thinking for a moment. She could tell her mother held feelings for Neptune, but she didn't know much about him.
