Team RWBY enter the dorm room with Yang carrying a sleeping Hope. Once inside the team gets settled for the night, but Weiss notices Blake having a conflicted look on her face.

"Blake?" Weiss asks earning a startled 'huh?'. "Are you okay? You look distracted."

"Y-yeah, I just...." Blake looks to see the others looking over with worry for their teammate. "I..."

"Blake," Ruby starts. "You don't have to be afraid. You can tell us. What's on your mind?" She states cheerfully.

Blake looks to see the nods of agreement. With a sigh Blake looks down. "Well, would you guys please keep it a secret?"

"Of course." Yang smiles.

"Yeah!" Ruby agrees.

Weiss nods. "What is it?"

With a heavy sigh Blake closes her eyes before bringing her hands up to the bow on her head. Pulling the string and untying it she reveals a pair of black cat ears that twitch upon being free. The girls eyes widen realizing what their teammate, their friend had been hiding.

"Your a Faunus?" Ruby questions earning a nod. "That. Is. Awesome!" She whisper shouts. She was trying to keep from waking Hope. Blake furrows her brow in confusion upon Ruby's statement.

Yang laughs. "Was that it? I thought this was going to be something bad with how you were acting."

Weiss frowns. Her thoughts immediately going to her father. Blake caught the look trying to determine what her thoughts were. After a moment Weiss realized the stares. "Oh, sorry. It's just," she sighs. "I'm still trying to get my fathers views away from my life."

Blake nod in understanding. "You grew up with that kind of thinking. It's understandable."

"It wasn't just that." Weiss admits. "When I was growing up my father basically started a war with the White Fang. I had to watch family friends disappear, Train cars of Dust get stolen, and Board members get executed. They shaped my reality of things. Then Hope enters my life and it's all flipped on its head. I just..."

Blake nods then sighs. "Weiss. I'm sorry that happened to you. The White Fang wasn't always like that." Weiss looked to her in confusion. Blake looks to see her face. "Yes, I was once a member of the White Fang." Ruby and Yang snap their heads to her.

"What?" Ruby asks.

Blake shifts uncomfortably. "I've been a member most of my life. You could say I was born into it." She explains. "Back then things were different. In the ashes of war the White Fang rose up as a symbol of peace and unity for humanity and the Faunus. Of course, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there." Ruby and Yang looked on taking in every word. Weiss was stunned. She wasn't sure what to think.

"I was at the front of every rally." Blake continues. "I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist. Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking."

"Violence." Ruby says sadly.

"Yes." Blake sighs. "Our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect.."

Yang frowned. "Out of fear." She finished earning a nod from Blake.

"And because of that I left." Blake says. "I decided I didn't want to take part in their violence and that I would dedicate my life to being a Huntress."
