This was requested by @latireloverz. I hope you like it! As always, I don't own the characters. Happy reading loves!

Beetee keeps an arm firmly around Wiress as they enter the house. They'd arrived in 4 quickly, but being outside their district made them anxious.

The 71st games had ended with the girl from 7, Johanna Mason, taking out their remaining competitor, their girl, during the final 8. It was a rough ending, with Johanna's final blow accidental decapitating the girl.

During her stop in 3 on her Victory Tour, she'd seemed apologetic, but she was a generally very sarcastic person and was very rough around the edges. She made them nervous.

However, the invitation to 4 for the last week of June was a tradition started by Mags years ago, and nobody was willing to give it up, especially not with Finnick deciding to host with his new girlfriend and fellow Victor, Annie Cresta, to make it a little easier for Mags.

So, Beetee and Wiress put aside their nervousness around Johanna for the sake of being near their friends for fun, before the reaping brought them to the games once more on July 4th.

They're greeted with an eagerly smiling Mags, and a happy looking Woof. Beetee isn't sure how Woof had arrived earlier than them, when 8 was a further distract to 4 than 3 was, but he guessed that Woof had likely travelled out much earlier.

Mags and Woof always seemed close. Beetee wouldn't be surprised if the two of them had a less than platonic relationship. After all, Wiress had started off as his best friend following her Victory Tour, but by the 57th games, eight years after her's, they'd been together.

"Hello, Mags, Woof." Beetee greets, smiling.

Wiress silently smiles beside him, waving slightly. She holds his arm a little loser now that they're near their friends and she no longer feels unsafe in the mostly unfamiliar district. He holds her a little closer for a second or two, before allowing her some space, letting her embrace Mags and Woof each.

Finnick walks to them, coming from what Beetee recalls as the kitchen from his stay in Finnick's house the year before. He's grinning, laughing at something Annie had said, as she trails after him.

She looks more comfortable this year, far less tense and unsure of herself compared to the state she'd been in the year prior. She is smiling and laughing with ease, her face flushed with joy and her eyes bright with excitement.

"Hey, guys!" Finnick cheers, hurrying to embrace them.

Beetee smiles widely as he watches Finnick squeeze Wiress tightly, the younger Victor's face becoming relaxed and peaceful in a way Beetee only ever really saw when Finnick was around Mags. Wiress holds him back just as close, one hand coming up to gently push back Finnick's unruly blonde curls.

Beetee takes his chance to hug Finnick when Wiress pulls away, smiling again when he feels Finnick hug tight.

"Hey, Finnick. How's it been in 4?" Beetee replies, as he pulls away.

"Can't complain, nice and warm." Finnick winks. "Then again, we're the coast, it's always warm here. How's 3?"

Beetee offers a small shrug. "It's 3. Not much to complain about, I suppose."

Wiress gives a small, dry chuckle. "Nothing new."

In all honesty, the food supply was lacking in 3, due failures to reach production demands in the factory. The Capitol was truly cracking down on the city district, and the effects were beginning to reach even the Victors who could ordinarily afford the overpriced, limited food supplies.
