This was a request by @Ihate40khammers on AO3. Sorry this took a little while and it's so short, I just didn't know what to do with it honestly. I hope you like it. As always, I don't own the characters and I don't know the lore. Happy reading loves!
Cassidy liked scaring the crap outta the night guard wannabes. It was her favorite part of the skits. She wasn't entirely sure why she enjoyed scaring the guards, just that it gave her a thrill she didn't get from anything else.
Evan didn't like it as much. He felt bad for the people who signed up to be guards. He felt guilty for always winning, and for scaring the wits out of the teens or the young adults who chose to be their victims.
Cassidy didn't get it. It was fun. Evan thought it was silly.
Cassidy dragged their shared body down the halls, bounding excitedly as they met up with the other members of their location.
Gabriel is waiting there with Jeremy. The two boys are pretty close, best friends they would say. Susie and Fritz are walking down the hall, they can hear Susie's Southern twang and Fritz's pirate accent from where they stand.
"Ready ta scare the bejeezies outta these suckers?" Gabriel asks when they're all there together.
"Oh! 'Course I am!" Susie drawls, clapping her feathers together.
"Always ready, Gabe." Jeremy agrees.
"Aye, matey, ready if ye are." Fritz added.
"I can't wait!" Cassidy cackled.
"Sure." Evan murmured.
"Let's go then!" Gabriel said, taking his position. "Catch him if 'ya can!"
Gabriel, Susie and Jeremy took default positions on the stage, Fritz entered Foxy's Pirate Cove, and Cassidy and Evan hid in the back, waiting for the game to start.
When the clock strikes 12, Jeremy begins moving. It's already night 3, so not long after, Susie begins dashing off, and the duo pound on the office doors together.
Once they're chased back to the stage, Fritz goes running out, and he is by far the fastest of them all. They all hear the door slam shut and a split second later, hear Fritz slam into it.
The pirate howls once before returning to his cove, grumbling about how long it would take to buff out the dent that was left in his shoulder.
Gabriel begins walking off, taking his turn. He makes it to the door just as it closes, growing in frustration before heading back to the stage.
"Our turn, Ev." Cassidy cackles as they crept through the halls.
Evan hums half-heartedly.
They sneak their way towards the office, and slowly slink into the office itself.
Cassidy gives a throaty laugh, cackling deeply. "Game over, night guard."
The guard, a young man, looks up and screams. Evan is frowning at her, and she is laughing far too hard.
"Bots win." Evan says apologetically.
The guard, frozen, begins to relax, then chuckles. "Good game."
The other bots arrive, whining about how they wanted to catch the guard this time. Jeremy begins to try to bet that he will be the first person to win next time, to which Gabriel argues that he knows Jeremy will try to cheat.
The boys begin fighting, while Cassidy and Susie laugh at them and the staff takes the payment from the guard.
That ends their night, and so the bots return to their recharge stations.
"I told ya we'd win." Cassidy gloats.
"Shadup." Jeremy whines.
"Don' be such a sore loser." Gabriel admonishes.
"Aww, c'mon, Jere, it could be your turn ta win next time." Susie tells him.
Jeremy whines without any words, pouting.
Cassidy cackles at him. "Yeah, Jere, maybe next time."
Evan nudges their shoulder. "Leave him alone, Cass."
"Aww, c'mon, Ev, it's funny." Cassidy complained.
Fritz laughs at them. "Ye two 'r' so stupid."
"Hey!" Both snapped.
"Oh hush up all of ya." Gabriel scolds with a chuckle. "Go ta bed."
There are several grumbled but everyone obeys, shutting into recharge.
Cassidy goes into recharge with a large grin on her metallic face. Today was a rather good success, if she said so herself.
