The head wound was simple enough to dress, but his side was a lot more extensive. She had Rick help keep him from moving while she stitched up the arrow wound. He was in and out of consciousness, never awake long enough to tell Rick much of anything. He didn't talk, he barely even voiced his discomfort aside from the occasional groans.

"We're running Hershel out of house and home with all these injuries," Madeline whispered, catching Rick's attention. The father scoffed, nodding in agreement.

"Yeah, he's not too happy with us being here."

"Yeah, he doesn't really hide it all that well," Madeline agreed, finishing off the stitches. She then grabbed the washcloth, dabbing it in the bowl of water Maggie had brought before cleaning around the wound. She cleaned his entire stomach and chest while she was at it. He wouldn't be able to bathe himself for a few days, and she knew she wouldn't want to be sitting in that filth if she were him.

Rick took his leave then, saying he was going to grab the map so when Daryl woke up he could fill them in on where he had found the doll. She heard the soft click of the door close and sighed, going back to cleaning off the dirt and blood from his skin. She grazed his cheek with the cloth, stirring him awake. He jolted when he opened his eyes, grunting out a few choice words.

"What are you doing?" He bit out, groaning as he tried to adjust himself.

"You're a mess, Dixon, you're starting to stink the place up." She smirked, rinsing the cloth in the bowl. She went back to cleaning his shoulders, arms, and hands, trying to be as soft with her touch as she could be since now he was awake. She also tried to not notice his eyes following her every move, but she couldn't help the slight blush that bloomed on her cheeks. "You did good work, finding that doll. That'll cut the grid in half." He merely grunted. Silence settled over them, the only sounds being there breathing. "You gave us quite a shock, stumbling back into camp with ears on a shoelace and blood on your chin. I don't blame Andrea for thinking you were a Walker."

"Bitch still shot me," Daryl grunted, looking at the way she smirked. His entire body felt like it was lit on fire, but he chose to blame it on his loss of blood.

"Yeah, that's on her. Her little Annie Oakley routine is starting to get on my nerves."

"Is it that or are you just annoyed she's playing your brothers?" Her eyes snapped up to meet hers, his smirk so big wanted to slap it off of him.

"You noticed it too?" He nodded, muttering that it was hard not to. "Andrea's never been anything but civil to me, but that doesn't stop me from noticing her obvious flirting with both Issac and Shane." She scoffed, once again bringing the cloth to his cheek. "Aside from that, I guess I shouldn't be so hard on her wanting the respect of the group, though. To prove herself."
