In the days following Hershel's accident, Rick had heeded her previous plea to hunker down. He called off their further plans to push into the prison until the baby was born and Hershel was back on his feet. She was thankful for that, the group instead focusing on clearing the bodies from the field and courtyard, as well as other things Madeline referenced to as spring cleaning.

First on Rick's list was to move the cars closer to their cell block, the distance making him uneasy. They had managed to push the bus that had once blocked the main gate off of the gravel drive, allowing them to easily maneuver the vehicles.

Madeline sat in the driver's seat of Hershel's old truck, leaning out of the window as Carol spoke to her. The women laughed as Madeline made a joke, which caught the rest of the group's attention.

"What's so funny, Walsh?" Daryl smirked as he walked closer to the truck, swinging his hunting knife as he walked. He and T had just finished up putting down some of the Walkers that had built up at the gate, sweat clinging to his body.

"Oh, nothing, Dixon, just swapping war stories." She squinted against the sun, tilting her head to the side. The hunter rolled his eyes at her antics, muttering something to T beside him, causing the man to laugh. "And what was that?" She asked, scoffing.

"Oh, nothing." T mocked, banging his hand on the top of the truck. "Just swapping war stories." She stuck her tongue out at the men before looking towards Rick.

"Where's Glenn and Maggie? We could use some help." She asked him, turning the key. The engine gave a bit of kickback, but started relatively quickly.

"Up in the guard tower." Daryl said, raising his eyebrows at her in a playful manner.

"Guard tower?" Rick echoed. "They we're just up their last night." He pointed out, only to scoff as he came to the same conclusion Daryl had suggested. Madeline wrinkled her nose, pulling herself out of the truck just enough that she could sit on the door. Daryl chuckled softly before calling out for the two of their missing group members.

"This is so disgusting." Madeline scoffed as they waited, Carol judging her back with her elbow.

"Young love." the older women snorted.

"Yeah, well, I don't want to think of my two friends going at it like bunny rabbits." Madeline wrinkled her nose, pretending to gag. The group laughed, watching as Glenn threw open the guard tower door with no shirt on. "Oh, my God it just keeps getting worse!"
