Danielle's Point of View
I woke up in the middle of the night. I was too hot and couldn't sleep. I look over to my side and Calum's not there. I furrow my eye brows checking the time on my phone. 2:00 am. I sigh pulling the bed covers off of me taking my phone and my cup downstairs. As I walk down the stairs there's a light on, looks like it's coming from the kitchen.
I walk through and it's Calum sitting at the island.
"Hey..." I say in a quiet voice, emptying my cup and putting in fresh water. "What are you doing up?"
He's not answering me, he's looking at some pictures and his face is wet probably from tears. I place my cup across from him and walk round to the side he's at. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I kiss his cheek. "Babe, what's up?"
He shakes a little and sniffles wiping away a tear. "Just... looking at some old photos"
"At 2 in the morning ?" I say giggling a little.
I unwrap my arms from him and take a seat next to him. I pick up a picture and it's a picture of what defiantly looks like Calum and another girl in a red dress, who looks like him.
"Hey is that Mali?" I ask pointing at her.
"Yeah, that's her" he sniffles.
"Where is she?"
"When my parents died, she didn't want to stay in Australia anymore. Said it was too much. She's in Scotland with our grandparents"
I pick up another picture of a baby in this silly hat "Is that you?" I giggle.
He nods "What's wrong with it?"
"Your dress sense was um... interesting..." I laugh.
"Hey..!" He says slapping my knee playfully.
"You were still cute though, you still got your cheeks" I tease squeezing his cheeks, making him slap my hand away and laugh.
Then there's this other picture of two grown-ups which I'm guessing are his parents.
"Is that your parents ?" He nods, and then starts to cry.
"I'm really starting to miss them now" he say in between sobs.
"Aw, Cal..." I say bringing him in for a hug, he cries into my shoulder as I rub his back "it's okay..."
"Sorry..." he says pulling away.
"You've got nothing to be sorry for" I tell him giving him a smile.
"No, sorry for crying in front of you like that"
I take his hand in mine intertwining our fingers together "Don't be silly, I couldn't care less. You've seen me cry enough times to cry for the whole of Australia"
He laughs a little wiping his tears with his free hand.
"Let's have some cake" I say out of the blue.
"What?"
"We've not had my birthday cake yet, and I'm kinda peckish. We'll stick a movie on too, it'll cheer you up" I smile.
"All right , sounds good" he smiles back.
We get up and hug "Thanks Danielle, you always know how to cheer me up"
"It's my pleasure" I say standing on my tip toes to kiss him.

We have just finished watching Divergent (A/N who else loves that movie cos same. Okay soz back to the story) and half of my cake was gone. We had only been jabbing it with a fork but half of it was gone. It looked so cool inside I had to Instagram it. As did Calum 'cause you know we're cool like that.
