Danielle's Point of View

It's crazy to think that a year or two ago I would of never wore a swimming costume or a bikini or anything like shorts or short sleeved shirts. I would of never of thought I would be surrounded by people who love me equally as much as I love them. I never would of thought that, I would even be here today.

"Okay who won then, April?" I spoke loudly as we all floated around in a circle. Me in between Kaelyn and Luke. April didn't go into the pool because she was still sick. She had food poising same as me when we were at DisneyWorld but hers is a little worse. She's always throwing up and is weak most of the time. Doctors say she'll hopefully be fine soon, she's taking a lot of medication so she damn well better be.

"It's between Luke and Michael." She announced a smile on her face. She sat on the side under neath a sun umbrella with Matt next to her in his little rocking chair.

Everyone 'oohed' as she announced this and turned to Michael and Luke.

"You know what this means right?" I asked. "Splash off!" I yelled as they all wooped.

We then all got up out the pool me going first and taking a seat at the table, I took a towel and wrapped it round myself. Calum came over next to me and put an arm around my shoulder his other arm linking with the other.

"So do you like it?" He asked nuzzling his face into my neck.

"Yeah, I love it."

"Good, because it was so hard trying to plan all this stuff. And it took forever." He laughed. I laughed along with him.

"Well it was worth it." I smiled. He kissed my cheek and was about to rest his head on my should before I grabbed his cheeks, his little chubby cheeks, and pressed his lips on mine. I mouthed 'I love you' to him and as he did it back before Luke yelled he was ready.

"3..." Luke did two lunges at the side and I giggled. "2..." He rounded his hips. "1..." Before jiggling around. "GO!"

He raced towards the edge of the pool, when he got there he brought his legs up and tucked them under his chest before doing a huge bomb in the pool, the water splashing on all of us. I hid behind the towel as it splashed before putting it down and seeing his head come up from the surface.

"Beat that Clifford!" He yelled. I laughed as Michael got ready to take his turn.

"With pleasure, Hemmo." He spoke back standing in the position Luke was. Luke came over to me and Calum, took a towel and hovered over us waiting for Michael to jump in.

"3..." Michel smacked his belly multiple times. "2..." He then proceeded into doing jumping jacks. "1..." He blew Kaelyn a kiss. "GO!" He also sprinted towards the pool but before tucking his legs up did a small turn then a bomb that kind of looked like he hit his belly hard.

"Ooh! That must of hurt that a mother fucker." Ashton laughed. I giggled at Ashton as Michael came up.

"That fucking hurt!" He pouted coming out the pool. As he did you noticed a red mark on the side of his belly. He rubbed on it as he came to take a towel.

"Sorry Mike, Luke won that one." April shrugged.

"Yes! Aha, in your face!" Luke boasted as Michael came and took a towel also wrapping it round him.

"Nice try, Mike." Calum told him trying to make him feel better. He smiled down at Calum before going over to get Matthew.

April slowly got up from her chair taking her phone and her blanket. "Right, I guess that's it?" We all mumbled yeses. "Good because I'm getting hungry."

I laughed, but agreed with her because I was getting hungry too.

I was in the kitchen currently making some chicken, with my headphones blasting music out whilst dancing around. I was making a home made meal because it's been forever since we've had a proper meal that wasn't take away and fatty. I'm surprised we haven't all become fat.

I flipped the chicken over to be cooked on the other side and turned around to get the plates from the cupboards underneath the island. I set the plates out and put on sweet potato chips I had made earlier onto everyone's plates along with some asparagus.

Once the chicken was cooked I also added those to the plates.

I took my headphones off from my head and put them around my neck before screaming : "Food's ready!"

They all piled in one by one and took a seat at the island where the food was. "Dan, this looks amazing!" Ashton complimented.

"Thank you so much." I smiled in return.

Luke was the first to taste it. He took a knife and sliced through the chicken. Everyone watched as he put it in his mouth, he chewed on it on before spitting it back out. "How much salt did you put in this?" He asked me.

"What? A teaspoon, it said a teaspoon." I responded. Calum also took a bite of the chicken and doing the same thing Luke did.

"What "teaspoon" did you put in here?" He asked me. I went over to get the spoon I was talking about and showed everyone. Calum took the spoon from me and laughed.

"Tablespoon, that's a tablespoon." He opened the drawer and took out a smaller spoon. "This is a teaspoon."

I bit my lip in embarrassment as everyone laughed. "Whoops?" I laughed. "Well that sucks." I pouted going over to look as my plate of food. I took a sweet potato chip and are that. At least that wasn't salty. "Takeaway?" I suggested. Every nodded a yes, before taking the plates and putting the chicken in the bin, putting the potato chips in a bag along with the asparagus in a separate one.

"I am never cooking again."

Calum came and gave me a hug. "You tried. And hey at least the chips were good." He shrugged.

"I guess." We pulled away from the hug and walked into the main room joining the others.

So, I may not be the greatest cook in the world, but that's okay because I tried. And I'm never trying again.

These past couple years of my life have been very very scary, exciting and also challenging. I have learned a few things and also taught things to a couple people too.

I have met the most amazing people and I am so glad that they are in my life. I can finally say I am moving on with my life and that the past is in the past and I never want to return to that.

I used to thing my scars made me weak, but the truth is they don't, they've made me stronger and bolder than ever and have made me a better person. I can't wait to see what the future has for me and Calum, and all of my best friends. Whether I have parents or not, these are the only people I need in my life, these are the people that have been there for me, picked me up when I was down. I can't thank them enough for that. I am lucky to still be here today and I honestly can't believe it, but I made it.

I'm Danielle Jones, and that.. Was my story.
