Danielle's Point of View
I flickered my eyes open, I didn't know where I was or how long I was asleep for but it was obviously getting late. I lifted myself up with the support of the bed and yawning. I was about to get up off the bed when I hit something. I looked over to see it was Calum, still fast asleep. He's clearly not slept in a long time.
"Oops.." I murmured biting my bottom lip. I looked at him before bending down and kissing his cheek before slipping out of the bed, tip toeing across the room opening the door and gently closing it shut. As I turned around Luke was standing there making me jump back on surprise. "Jeez, Luke..!"
"Sorry I ... I never really got a chance to say welcome back and I guess all the things that happened in the past. Honestly, Danielle I didn't realise how much we had hurt you, all the times you were hurt at home too, we didn't know but it's no excuse - "
"Luke, I know you're sorry. You've already proved that these past months. Stop saying sorry and stop bringing it up, it's over okay?"
He rubbed his arm looking at me. Guess he's talking again, which also made me happy. He put his arms up which I accepted and we hugged. As we pulled apart I asked him : "Are you and April, okay?"
He nodded smiling. "Yeah, we're good."
I smiled back at him. "Great. I'm gonna go downstairs for something to eat now, I'll talk to you later." We embraced again before I headed downstairs and he walked back to his room, I'm guessing with April.
In the kitchen I found Kaelyn there sitting at the island. She had her shaking hands clasped together on the table and she kept on taking shaky breathes in and out. "Hi, Kae!" I greeted excitedly. If it wasn't for her I would of missed Calum at the airport and he would be in Scotland right now.
I walked over to her giving her a hug. She pulled away quickly holding her stomach. "Are you okay?"
She sunk her head in her hands. Lifting her head up I noticed her teary eyes. "What's up? Stomach pains, cramps -"
"I'm pregnant, Danielle." She spoke. I left my mouth hanging open. I looked at her as she looked at me. It was her test the boys found then.
"Congratulations...?"
"No! Not congratulations, I can barely look after myself how am I going to look after a baby?!" She yelled. Poor girl, I didn't know how to react.
"Sorry..." I walked over to the chair next to her and took a seat. I took her shaky hand in mine for comfort. "Look hon, it's going to fine. You and Michael will be great parents to this baby, okay? How long has it been?"
"Two months." She murmured.
"Two months!" I yelled in shock. Two months and she hasn't told anyone. Wow. "Kaelyn, you need to tell Michael."
"Tell me what?" My head whipped round to see him walking into the kitchen. He walked round to the other side of the island. He folded his arms and leaned on the table, raising his eye brows he waited for us to answer.
"Umm, I'm gonna go... Leave you guys to talk." I squeezed Kaelyns hand before getting up going to the pantry, quickly I grabbed a packet of Oreos, I then quickly poured myself a glass of milk. Giving them both a brief smile I headed upstairs.
I walked back into Calum's room to find him still asleep. I smiled to myself setting the glass of milk and Oreos on the side table. I picked up the TV remote before sitting back down on the bed, I slipped my feet under the cover and turned the TV on. I didn't know it was up practically full volume on the music channel. He's clearing been jamming to some tunes. Coincidently What I Like About You was playing.
I quickly turned the the volume down but it was too late he was already awake. "I'm really sorry, I didn't know it was this loud,"
He turned to his side facing me. He had his eyes open for like two seconds before closing them and murmuring: "It's okay.." He smiled his eyes still shut.
I muted the TV took an Oreo and lay on my back. "You know... this is the neatest I've ever seen your room, that's bad because we've been dating for about six months." I laughed a bit of biscuit spitting out my mouth. "Oops..!"
"Ew!" He chuckled. He sat up and lazily stretched his arm over my body reaching for a biscuit. He took a bite of it and looked at me. "So we're still dating?"
I looked down to him and shrugged. "I don't know. Will you still have me?" I whispered.
He looked down to his Oreo before back at me. He shrugged back. "Will you still have me? I mean I've been a complete asshole these past six months I'm surprised you haven't slapped me yet."
I laughed at this. He has got a point, I mean he's deserved one a million times but, you just can't with that baby-face of his. You just can't. "True." I brushed the excess cookie crumbs from my fingers and turned on my side the same as him. "Calum, I really want us to work. Being with you... You've changed my life Calum, but please you need to help me. It takes two people in a relationship to make it work."
He sighed and nodded. "I know Danielle. I want to make this work too. This time, it's going to work. I promise you." He stuck out his pinky. I smiled interlocking my pinky with his. "I love you. A lot. Too much. I love you to the galaxy and beyond. I love you beyond the next galaxy, I love you - "
"Okay, cringe." I shushed him, laughing as I did.
"Sorry.." He laughed back.
This was the Calum I missed. I could see that he really wanted this as much as I did, I was really glad and confident this time, was going to be it. "Unfortunately, I love you just as much."
He grinned widely before leaning in and giving me a kiss. It wasn't like the other kiss, this was a kiss we hadn't had in a long time. It was passionate, it had meaning to it, it showed that, just that he actually wanted me. I'm so glad that things turned out well for everyone.
Well, hopefully everyone...
