Ashton's Point of View
I looked at her, not taking my eyes off of her incase she was going to leave again. I just couldn't believe that she was back.
"Erm... We'll leave you guys alone.." Danielle finally spoke breaking the silence. "Won't we Calum?!" She spoke a little louder to try get his attention. He finally woke up and sat up straight.
"Erm, yeah. Hey Miriam." He smiled at her, she gave him a brief smile and wave. He stood up from his chair, giving me a wink before walking out with Danielle and leaving me and Miriam in an awkward silence.
"So... You're back." I started off.
She nodded and started to walk to where Calum was previously sitting. "Yeah, I'm back."
I sat back down in my seat just as she did as well. It was silent for a bit, so I started to drum on the table nervously. You can't blame me though, she's been gone almost a year, no text, no calls, nothing. I don't know what to say to her or how to start a conversation with her anymore. We don't mold like we did before.
"Em, why are you back?" I asked before mentally face palming myself realising that was quite rude.
"Honestly, I don't know why I am. I didn't plan it, but, all this time I feel like something was urging me to come back here. I just couldn't stay away from here." She explained.
"What was that urge?"
"I think it was you... Ever since you told me you loved me I - it was the only thing on my mind."
I had a little hope in me. Although the thing was, did I still love her?
I nodded slowly, I didn't know what to say to her anymore. "Look, Miriam I -"
"I know, I know you're probably right now debating on whether you still love me." She interrupted, I furrowed my eye brows. How did she know that? Did she become a psychic whilst she was away or what?
"How did you know...?" I whispered.
"I know you like that back of my hand Ashton, I also know that you're nervous right now." She spoke directing to my hands that were still drumming on the table. My hands abruptly stopped as she did. "I am too..." She spoke quietly.
It was then another short awkward silence. "I missed you.." I blurted out my thoughts. I blushed immensely waiting to hear what she was going to say back.
"I did too." She smiled.
Danielle's Point of View
We both lay on my bed in my room, the one I was hardly in but decided to come into today. Me and Calum lay head to toe on my bed not talking, just staring up at the boring ceiling.
"Why do you think she came back?" Calum shot up and asked. I sat up too and shrugged. "It's weird."
We sat in silence for a bit again before I heard a faint drilling noise. I ignored it because it was probably nothing but it happened again. "Can you hear that?" I asked him. He looked my way confused.
"Hear what?" He questioned before his eyebrows shot up as if he realised something.
"What?"
I got down from the bed. "That drilling noise." As I walked to the window I heard a big smash. I stopped turning back to Calum before continuing to the window. "The fuck was that?!" I whispered opening the curtains about to look out into the garden before Calum came a closed them.
"It's probably nothing. Come back and sit down." He ushered me back down.
"Calum, someone could be drilling a hole into your garden." I told him before opening the gardens again.
"No they're not.... Well....Just come I'll show you." He took my hand and walked me out the room downstairs.
I stopped once we got to the bottom of the stairs. "Is this a joke?" I laughed. "Is Luke or Ashton or someone gonna jump out with a chainsaw and pretend to be some serial killer or some shit?"
He furrowed his eyebrows. "What? No! Come on." He put his hands on my back gently guiding me through the kitchen where Ash and Miriam were still talking. "Sorry guys." Calum apologised, in which they both said it was fine before he opened the door out to the garden for me and took me out to the patio area.
"Oh my god, Calum!" I didn't know how to react.
He folded his arms and smirked. "Do you like it? It's your Christmas present. Or did you forget ?,"
I turned to look at him with a straight face. But I couldn't help it, a smile creeped up on my face as I jumped around excitedly. "Ahhh! I love it!"
I stopped a second looking out at the big hole that was in the corner of the garden. There were white tiles all along the side and on the inside. There were men over there starting to fill it up with crystal blue water.
"Come on, let's go get changed!" I grabbed Calum's arm and dragged him out the garden and through the kitchen. I stopped at the table again where Miriam and Ashton were laughing about something. "I hope you've brought your swimming costume with you." I squealed after speaking before pulling on Calum's arm again.
"Woo! Let's go swimming!"
