Calum's Point of View

"Stop eating all the cupcakes, Ash!" I slapped his hand away before he took his third one.

Ash was, well day by day he was slowly starting to get back to normal. Miriam came back, saying that she was going back to America. It was very brief with us but she had a two hour talk with Ashton before saying her goodbyes and leaving. He has told us that he doesn't want to talk to anyone about it, and we respect that.

"Stop eating all the cupcakes, Ash. " He mimicked me before giggling off into the kitchen. I shook my head before rubbing it. Danielle said she'd help me, but I have no idea where she is. April is doing the decorations with Luke, Kaelyn has gone to Liz to drop off Matt there with all the other mums because they adore him, I mean who wouldn't, he's a wee cutie. Ash is being a lazy fat ass and I am stressing out like bloody mad. We sent Michael off to the studio on his own, he'll be there for a couple hours so we can get ready for his party.

It's not going to be lots of people just us because even though he's turning twenty and he's gone all 'responsible' it will be better just his closest friends, and anyway we can over do it for his twenty-first.

I took my phone out of my pocket, scrolling through my contacts I saw Danielle's name and rang it.

"Hello?" She said through the other side of the phone. I heard a horn beep and I was guessing she was in a taxi or something.

"Babe, where the hell are you?! I swear my brain is going to explode!"

She laughed before replying. "I was getting the cake, dumbass. Or did you forget, this morning. 'Oh Danielle, don't forget the cake or I will kill you!' I'm on my way so chillax, dude." She tried to mimic my voice, and it didn't work.

"I do not sound like that, but whatever. Get here quick."

"I'll try my best. Bye!"

"Bye!" I said before hanging up the phone.

I went through into the garden, past the kitchen to see Ashton looking down at his phone.

"You okay man?"

He put his phone on the table. "Yeah yeah, I'm fine." He looked at me and I could tell he forced his smile.

"Come talk to me if you need to, yeah." I smiled at him because I knew he was hurting.

"It's about Mike today though, so I won't make it about me. Thanks though."

"Anytime." I started to walk away slowly. "Love you, Ash."

"Love you too, Cal." He replied.

I gave him one last smile before heading off into garden to see how much 'Lapril' had done. They probably won't have much done, but it would be good to at least have a banner.

"Guys, have -" I looked up to see the garden beautifully decorated. Not the way I expected.

The bushes all around the garden had lights that went all different colours. As soon as you walked out there was a huge banner saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!' Chairs with pillows and blankets were arranged around the bonfire for later on tonight and they also made space for dancing and a mini 'DJ'set in the corner too. Near the 'DJ' set was a table filled with snacks and drinks. A huge pizza, cupcakes (the ones Ash didn't eat) crisps, biscuits, beer. Everything.

"Wow! This is amazing guys!" I smiled hugely knowing that Mike is going to love this.

Michael's Point of View

"Thanks, keep the change." I thanked the cab driver getting out the car. I closed the door shut before making my way to the front door.

I had a good studio day today, even though I wasn't planning it. Calum kind of forced me to go, but it was a good one. Now I just can't wait to, go into my bed and snuggle in with Kaelyn and Matt.

I love my friends I really do, but I just want to have a quiet night tonight.

I opened the door sighing to find all of the lights off. Weird.

"Hello?" I called out closing the door. I walked towards the light switch turning it on. "Guys!" I looked through into the living room to find it empty. I sighed walking through into the kitchen. I was going to go into the fridge to get a beer but when I opened it, it was empty. Everything was gone but a little note.

Come outside ;)

"Urghh!" I groaned smiling knowing what was probably outside. I left the note on the counter and opened the door.

It was pretty light out, even though it's winter now, it's not in Australia. "Guys...! I know what's going on so just show yourselves." I laughed, stepping out fully.

I heard giggling from behind a chair and someone 'shh'.

"It's okay he knows anyway." Someone else whispered. Then a couple seconds later all of them jumped up, as they did lights lit up around the whole garden and a huge banner was hanging in front of me. The chairs they were 'hiding' behind were set up around the fire. And I could see a table up the back with food on it. So that's were the food from the fridge went.

"Surprise!" They all screamed. Luke pressed a button turning on cheesy birthday music.

Kaelyn ran up to me hugging me tight. "I know you said not to do anything but, you deserve a night to relax." She let go of me before kissing me. "Happy Birthday, Mike."

"Thank you," I replied kissing her back.

The rest of the guys came up to me hugging me and wishing me Happy Birthday. Not forgetting the birthday dumps. I swear I have a bruise on my arm. A big one.

"Thank you guys, I really do need to relax." I laughed. "Um, where's Matthew?" I questioned because everyone was out here feeling really calm about the fact that there's a new born.

"Oh, he's with my mum, and the other mums. They're looking after him tonight." Luke smiled putting his arm around April.

"Sooo... Do you like it or what?" Danielle asked.

"You better say yes, we've been working our asses off doing this." Calum warned me laughing.

I nodded looking around the place. "Yes, I do. I absolutely love it. Thank you so much, guys."

"Right, what are we waiting for? Let's get this party started!"
