Danielle's Point of View

I was currently making a Christmas brunch with April, Liz and Karen, whilst everyone else was doing whatever in the main room.

"April, how are you doing with my little Luke then?" Liz randomly asked. I turned to April who was cracking eggs into a bowl. She looked up to me before looking to Liz, her cheeks turning pink.

"Uh, yeah it's great. Um when is Jack's wedding? It's just Luke mentioned it ages ago and it just hasn't happened." She asked quickly changing subject since she clearly didn't want to talk about her relationship with Luke to his mum.

"Oh yeah, it got postponed until next year. Because of the tour they didn't want to get in between that."

She nodded continuing with the eggs. I went to oven, opening it up to check on the bacon. They looked about ready so I reached up getting a plate and starting to load them on there. I managed to get one on the plate before my hand hit the top of the oven, burning my hand.

"Ouch!" I shrieked dropping the plate. It smashed on the floor as I stood back shaking my burnt hand. "Sorry..."

Karen came over picking up the broken pieces. "It's alright honey, go and run your hand under cold water in the bathroom."

I murmured an 'okay' rushing out the kitchen and to the bathroom. I opened up the tap and stuck my hand under it. As soon as the cold hit my hand, it stung like mother trucker. I held back the pain and kept it under there anyway.

There was a knock on the door before Calum walked in. "What happened this time?" He laughed shaking his hand.

"It wasn't me, it was the oven!" I argued in defence.

"Sure." He nodded not so convinced. He took my hand from the tap, looked at it before putting it back under the tap.

"Ow, careful." I told him slapping his hand.

"So-rry." He apologised sticking his tongue out. "Have you seen Ash? He's been really... Well not Ash."

"I spoke to him this morning, he just misses Miriam, I mean he really loved her. I miss her too, she was different but that's what I like about her." I told him. I turned, turning the tap off for a bit because my hand was getting really cold.

"Yeah. I just wish there was a way to get her back. But he did kinda mess this up himself with 'I'm so perfect Brittany.' " I laughed at his high pitched voice. "We're gonna start back up at the studio soon and we need him to be focused to start the album. Miriam's the only one that can fix him though."

"Food's ready!" Someone shouted form downstairs.

"Can you bring me up an ice pack, please?" I asked him just before he was about to leave.

He mumbled a 'yeah, sure' before heading off downstairs whilst I stuck my hand back under the ab until he got back.

"Here's to future Christmases all together and just to the future in general." Liz stated raising her glass smiling which made the rest of us smiled. "Merry Christmas!" She then said later. The rest of us raising our glasses and clinking them with anyone near us.

"Merry Christmas!" We all repeated in unison as our glasses clinked. We put them down before digging into the meal.

Ashton's brother and sister came in a little after I burnt my hand. Jack and Ben - Luke's brothers, are going to be arriving a little later today because they had something on. Apart from that everyone's parents and siblings were here. Everyone's but mine...
