I wrote this chapter in Vanessa's POV... initially I wanted it to be Dave's POV..so we could understand what's going on in his life but I decided against it. He's not that much of a major character; just has a connection with one of the major characters.

Vanessa.

This morning I woke up early, took my bath,dressed in a baby pink sweatshirt and a black ripped jeans, I made a simple breakfast for myself and got ready for school.

I haven't been going for classes for almost a week now since lectures started and it was seriously affecting me, I knew it would affect my GPA, that was what motivated me to get back the school. I always laughed at girls whose breakups rendered them useless and overly emotional ...but just take a look at my pretty pathetic self. I never knew a man could affect me this much.

Throughout the incident, I was silently praying for Dave to come back, apologize and treat me right, but he didn't and well...I've promised to move on.

I grabbed my keys, got out of the house and drove to school. Ohh...I forgot to tell y'all. I kinda convinced dad to let us have our own car, promising that I won't let Valerie get into trouble again while driving. Okayyyy...so there was this time, she went clubbing and drove drunk, she hit a woman that was crossing the road. She was in jail that night and dad bailed her the next morning..he wanted to teach her a lesson then he also forbade her from driving. But I convinced him that I need a car to make things more convenient for us in school and he agreed.

After lectures that day, I went over to Suzie's place. Suzie was a friend of mine as well, but she was always unavailable. You never knew when she was in school or out of school. She always travelled. She was the school's slay mama. She was quite popular, prolly because she was an actress and video vixen. Funny how she was studying medicine and was always out of school on one shoot or the other. Truth is, her parents forced her into medicine, but still, she's living the exact life she loves and wants.

On getting to her apartment, which was a two-bedroom flat. It was spacious and very beautiful. It didn't look like an apartment for someone in University.  Actually, it wasn't the one her parents rented for her. She used her money to rent this one.

On getting there, I knocked on the door, and she opened it. She hugged me and ushered me in. I went in and she brought juice and biscuits for us to eat. We began to discuss random topics.

"Jemmy told me you and Dave had a fallout..what's wrong?" She suddenly asked.

"Urghhh...Jemmy !! Anyways, you've not been around so obviously you wouldn't know about it." I eyed her, taking more biscuits into my mouth.

"Heiii....babe am sorry, just that I've been busy. Besides, I'm here now and you're here. So let's get talking." 

"Urhmm...there's not much to talk about. He cheated and I've moved on"

"You've not" she replied smirking

"I have..I don't even remember him"

"You think about him all night before you go to bed." And this here, is one of the many reasons Suzie is scary, she always knows what's in your mind.

"Okayyyy..yes I still do. Gimme time and I'll get over him"

"Nop..you won't" she said popping the 'p'

"Suzie please leave me alone. I'm hungry ohh..if you thing this snacks would satisfy me then you're lying to yourself " I said trying to change the topic.

"Be there deceiving yaself ...in your mind you successfully changed subject abi ??" She scoffed and I eyed her as we burst out laughing together. I don't even understand us sef.
