After I dropped Jemmy over at Nessa's place, she said she'd be staying there from now on, cos she hates the privacy she doesn't get at my place with my friends around. So I took her there, when I returned, I was shocked to see Ruby at my place.

During the holidays, she stopped picking my calls, didn't reply my texts, and whatever, I began to think she was planning on breaking up with me, so I decided to give her the space she needed. So imagine my surprise seeing her seated on my couch, watching a movie.

"Baby....how you doing?" She said cheerfully as she stood up and engulfed me in a hug, whilst giving me a peck on the cheeks. I didn't return her hug or the kiss, I just stood still. You don't just ignore someone, your boyfriend for weeks, and come back kissing the person.

"What are you doing here? " I asked coldly.

"Babe, what d'you mean? I'm your girl----"

"Heiii, hold it there,a girlfriend doesn't ignore her boyfriend for weeks. I mean I thought I lost you. You haven't answered me. What. Are. You. Doing. Here.? "

"Babe, I'm sorry okay? Something came up at home, I had to attend to. I even lost my phone, see, I got a new one" she said showing me her new iPhone 11.. ohh right! I'm supposed to fall for that..  for all I know a nigga must have bought that for you.

"Ruby? Are you lying to me?" I drew her face closer to mine. She just stared blankly at the tiles in the floor.

"What's going on? Enough lying already..tell me what happened?" She sighed.

My mom said some annoying shit, that woman practically hates me, that's why I wanted to stay over at my grandma's place throughout the holiday..but mom called me back..she said hurtful things to me. She kept blaming me for my brother and father's death. I didn't know what to do..I went to a club to drink out all of my sorrows, next morning,I found myself..." I don't like where this story is going. I began clenching and unclenching my fists.

"RUBY!!? Where did you find yourself?" Her cries and sobs made her shoulder quaver.

"Babe, I'm sorry, I don't want to lose you. Please forgive me. " She cried the more.

"The fuck??! Continue Ruby?" I shouted at her.

"You don't fucking yell when you're in the wrong !" I yelled back.

"Malik, I said I'm sorry, what else d'you want?" She said calmly

"You're not sorry, you just feel it's important to say sorry" I was really pained, I felt like finding the bastard and disfiguring his face with punches.

"What??! You can't be serious, Malik. I lost my fucking virginity to an old man, d'you know how yucky that is? D'you know how much I hate myself right now? I feel disgusted by myself. Whenever I look at myself in mirror, I just hear the voices, irritating, disgusting, ugly, used. D'you have any idea what I feel now?and you're saying I'm not sorry. I was so angry, d'you know what that bastard did the next morning, he threw a pile of money at me on the bed, saying, virgins are the sweetest, though inexperienced.
